After three years of putting it off, I finally finished Ms Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children‼️

Here are some things I’ve written in my notes app about this series.

I started MPHFPC when I was in fourth grade, and I’ve been re-reading the series pretty much annually until 2020, when I got the last book and read like a quarter of it and then realized it would all be over soon and I couldn’t handle it.

Yesterday was the last day of summer before my senior year of high school, and I felt like that was a good time to let it be over, as so many changes are going on in my life.

I owe this series so much, it’s helped me in ways I can’t begin to explain and I WILL be continuing to re-read it as much as possible.

I’ve been reading this series nonstop. Jacob and Emma mean everything to me and I’m not accepting the last three books as canon.

(Also Hugh and Millard are lighting each others cigs in a bro way not a romantic way as Hugh’s heart belongs to Fiona and Millard’s heart belongs to me)

So I’m re-reading MPHFPC and I updated my character playlists!

I actually haven’t finished the series bc I’ve been putting it off bc it’s my favorite thing in the entire world😭😭 but yeah I felt the need to add more songs and delete some dumb ones. Some original ones are still in there but I think they fit the characters really well!!!

I’ve been crying uncontrollably for the past hour bc I’m thinking about how tragic of a character poor Emma is ☹️
