I'm on posting prompt for you guys, but I figured you might be interested in my story. It's whumpy but has a big plot going on still
Concept #109
Hero had found Villain to be rather stressed over the last few days. Turned out it was the annual agency visit at their base to rate their standards/level of villainy. Villain asks Hero to let them ‘kidnap’ them to help boost their score.
(After the hero said yes…and after the inspectors checked around and the hero escaped surely after the inspectors inspected the hero’s holding cell, Now in the villain’s main room, after reviewing everything)
Inspector: I am so sorry villain but your score is- *they suddenly look up and behind the villain* above last years! Impressive!
Villain: what? But it sounded like you were about to fail-
(the second inspector cut the villain off)
Inspector 2: no no no ofcourse not! Your lair is….uh….um amazing! Yes totally!
Inspector 3: yes! You….you totally passed with flying colors!
(The villain was confused…until they followed the inspector’s gaze till they saw hero pushing a sign up against the window! The sign read “give villain a good score or else I will burn your evil lair down and I know where it is!”)
Villain; I cant believe I’m saying this… but hero! No!
Hero: well I CANT BELIEVE I’m saying this… but hero! Yes!
(The villain facepalmed and tried to hide a blush…the hero wasnt going to let their villain get replaced THAT easily!)
I never knew an arson threat from a hero could be so wholesome. Good job, Hero! I love this idea so much! 😂
Concept #109
Hero had found Villain to be rather stressed over the last few days. Turned out it was the annual agency visit at their base to rate their standards/level of villainy. Villain asks Hero to let them ‘kidnap’ them to help boost their score.
“Please!”
“No!”
“Please!!”
“No!!”
“[Hero] I am begging you! Just for a single day! I swear I won’t do anything to you! Just sit in a cell for like 2 hours and look mad!” [Villain] pleaded,
“This is the worst ploy for a kidnapping I have ever heard.” [Hero] crossed their arms, scowling at [Villain], who was on their knees.
“Come on [Hero]! If I don’t get a rank 8 on this inspection, I’ll get moved! This is a rank 6 city, and my last inspection was a rank 4!”
“None of what you just said makes any goddamn sense!” [Hero] hissed.
“It means I’ll get kicked out of the city for not being villainous enough! But having a hero kidnapped at the time of inspection, that’s an automatic plus 2…” [Villain] trailed off as they saw the annoyed incomprehension cross [Hero]’s face again, “It looks really good!” they corrected.
[Hero] continued to scowl at them before finally grumbling,
“If I do this… No schemes for a month.”
“I swear!” [Villain] immediately agreed.
“And I’m breaking out the second you try anything shady!” [Hero] added, [Villain] frantically nodded their head. [Hero] threw their head back, a long annoyed sigh resonating deep in their throat.
“Alright, let's go.”
[Villain] nearly cried in relief.
I don't even know what to say aside from I love this! Hero has the chance to get rid of Villain but instead they help them! Villain was so desperate- I hope they get that grade 8. 😆
Flint Sterling (Cloudwalker Series)
Alright, you can all have a Flint. Let me know what you think of him! :) This is set a fair bit further along in the story (like a year). Word Count: little under 2000.
Warnings: Uh not much, contains biting, abduction/ restraints, a kinda intimate whumper for a few moments and a dirty joke. Yeah, I think that’s it. Avizon is trying to be intimidating but it’s a bit difficult with Flint’s dumbassery.
Picrew for Flint here
Avizon tossed and turned in his sleep. He knew something was amiss. He could feel it, enough to wake him. He dressed quickly and went to find his cloudwalkers, to check on them. He needed to know they were safe. Dyan was still fast asleep when he opened the door, but Ihuka was awake, feathers fluffed up and ready to attack… something. Ihuka snarled at him, but stopped as recognition struck.
Avizon put a finger to his lips, telling him to be quiet. He opened the door wider and let him pass “Search,” he whispered. Ihuka disappeared down the corridors, sniffing the air. Avizon turned to Dyan, who was waking. “Be prepared, I fear there is an intruder. Stay here.”
Avizon closed the door and went after Ihuka, hoping that he was wrong, that there was no one here. For one thing, Avizon should have been able to feel their presence, but it wasn’t as clear as usual. It was blurred, far away, hard to aim at.
Whatever it was, he could only hope it wasn’t dangerous.
Since Flint is a thief I figured I can share. I think you'll like him a lot. You don't need to know much about the series to read. Avizon's an 'evil sorcerer' and Ihuka and Dyan are bird-like people with wings.
Flint decides to try to steal from said evil sorcerer and bird bois.
Concept #92
Super villain sells one very weak and battered Hero to Villain.
None of you are ready
@morallygreyprompts thank you for letting me have all these wonderful nuggets to develop my superhero side daydream with. It’s getting more and more complex by the day, And I always feel bad for not being able to support your work with money so please accept my word offering instead. Have a wonderful day!!
Villain: Ethan
Hero: Colten
SuperVillain: Wrath
Ethan leaned against his van, eyes picking out each of his men and making sure they were all where they had been for the last hour. He had been surprised by Wrath in the past, and he wasn’t going to allow that again.
He sighed, tapping the suitcase he was holding by his side. A suitcase with money. He was paying a huge debt off to Underground, but he was still uncomfortable with how much money he was putting into this. But Underground, the hero that specializes in rescuing people from situations in which they are being tortured or held captive, whether they be hero, civilian, or villains of any and all sorts, had saved so many of Ethan’s people from a vigilante’s basement, Ethan had to pay something back.
There was a call over his radio from one of his men. “Wrath is arriving. From the South.”
OH MY GOODNESS AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. OMG OMG OMG OMG Ethan is BEAN. I accept your amazing word offering, thank you so much! 😍😭
Blind heroine #2
Part 1 Their last encounter was a bit different from this one. At least a bit less painful for villain than this time, as heroine was beating them completely. Heroine seemed to move a lot quicker than a few weeks ago and she didn’t even need to use her powers to get villain down on the ground multiple times.
Villain groaned and spit out some blood as they got back on their feet again. Why didn’t they just manage to hit back? Why was fighting her so difficult? How was she able to improve so much in a little less than a month? Or was it them acting worse?
Villain wobbled on their feet, taking a few steps back, ready to summon the fire into their hands, ready to end this fight. They were not going to prison. They had managed to stay out for years, losing almost every fight, but never as bad as this. They just needed to find a way out of this, to heal. They needed their fire, but it wouldn’t come. “Had enough, villain? Last time you said you wanted to quit, why not just come with me? Get some peace.” Villain huffed out a laugh as they wiped the blood from their chin. “No thank you, rotting away in a prison cell is not the kind of peace I’m looking for.” “Then what are you looking for?” Heroine asked as she circled around villain, her weapon ready to attack again. Something about her way of acting was different. She had never hit them this hard before. Villain barely managed to stay on their feet.
“You know what I want, heroine,” villain breathed. Now it was heroine who laughed. “I don’t think you do.” Villain stared at her, raising an eyebrow and crossing their arms. “Of course I do! I want to make this city a better place.” “Yeah that’s what you said last time, still you don’t manage to achieve your goal and you haven’t shown yourself for weeks. What’s the problem, villain? Don’t know how to achieve it now you stopped killing? Or does losing to a blind heroine make you want to give up?” “I won’t give up!” villain screamed. At the same time, they lashed out towards heroine. She dodged and turned behind villain.
She slammed them against their head, making villain scream. Before they could attack she hit their back and slammed them against the ground. Villain’s head spun and they squeezed their eyes shut trying to stop the world from spinning. “What’s wrong villain? You’re so slow today, where is that fire of yours?” Villain tried to get up, but she pushed them back down. They tried to get their fire to their hands again, to let the power burn, but it still didn’t work, nothing came. “You know I can’t just let you walk around, do you?” heroine asked quietly. “You are a villain.” She pushed down on their back, almost drawing another scream from them. This wasn’t heroine like they knew her. “Okay, enough!” Villain turned around, scrambled away, and managed to get out of heroines reach. They looked at her, panting for breath and for a moment thinking about continuing the fight, but they couldn’t. Their fire wouldn’t work and they were feeling too weak from the attacks. “I will see you again, my lady.” villain said right before they ran away. —- They couldn’t fight her properly anymore. They didn’t want to hurt her. That was where it started. They would rather run than fighting her again. So that was what villain did after that fight. It was not much later that they figured out that there was nothing wrong with their fire. They were still able to use it, only not when they were close to her. They had told her that they liked her a while ago now. They didn’t even know what it meant. Did they just like her or was it more? Love maybe? At that moment they hadn’t known and the idea of loving her scared them. They still weren’t completely sure what made that they started to follow her around during the night. Watching over her, scared that something would happen to her. They didn’t know why they cared or why they started to act so protective, especially after that last fight where she was so harsh towards them. They never had a problem with her being alone before they knew she was blind before she acted so differently. Was that what got them so scared for her wellbeing? No, that wasn’t it, she was fine on her own, they knew that. She was blind but maybe she could see even better than they could. They didn’t even know themselves as good as she did. Maybe she had been harsh, but she was right. They didn’t know what they wanted anymore. They sighed watching her fight with another villain. Why did they even stay? They knew she would win, she always did. They should go, she would be angry if she thought they were there worrying over her because she was blind. ‘I can handle myself,’ villain could almost hear her saying it. “I know,” villain mumbled as they got to their feet, “I know. I’m just being stupid.” They looked behind them one last time, smiling at seeing hero completely in her element. There was something satisfying about her way of fighting. The way her hair moved with her movements and that fire that always returned inside of her. Villain could watch her for hours. She was still the strongest person they ever knew and maybe that’s what had thrown them over the edge.
Hero Betrays Their Team Ask
Hello! Can you do a snippet about a group of three heroes(two male one female) and the final battle is over, and one of the male heroes goes off to the medics. The girl is exhausted from the battle and in that moment the other hero betrays her and takes her as prisoner? Love your writing.
Thank you so much! I’m very sorry this has taken so long but I do hope you like it. Have a good day!! :) Hero 1 - the female hero Hero 2- the good male hero Hero 3 - the bad male Hero
Hero 1 couldn’t believe it. They’d won. They’d stopped Supervillain. The city was free. Oh stars, it was over!
She groaned as she carefully got up from her knees, still panting, every muscle in her body seemed to ache, in some places burn where she’d pulled something in exerting herself so badly. It was worth it though, to have finally won.
“Are you alright?” Hero 3 asked, his voice thick with concern. “Uh,” she managed shakily, pulling her sore arm closer to her. “I. I think so, just spent up. Where’s [Hero 2]?” “I’ll live to fight another day… I think,” Hero 2 called out as he struggled over to the pair of them, bearing an aggressive limp. He left a trail of blood as he moved. Hero 3 hurried to steady him as he wobbled and almost fell over. “Easy, pal. You need to go to the medics and get that treated.”
“It’s not that bad-” “I don’t care how bad it is,” Hero 3 answered. “Go, or would you rather I carry you like a baby?” Hero 2 looked at Hero 1 for a long moment. “Are you alright, do you need to come with me?” Hero 2 smiled tiredly but shook her head, not realizing how she was still cradling her arm. “Ice and a nap is all I need,” she answered Hero 2 groaned in pain as something made itself more known. “Okay… I’ll catch up with you two later. Look after her for me, [Hero 3]. I know her too well by now, she’s hurt her arm.” Hero 1 sighed as Hero 2 smiled and limped away again, using the surrounding debris to steady himself. “Good job, you two- ow! I’m proud,” he called behind him.
Hero 1 and Hero 3 stood in silence for a long moment, but a wave of dizziness took hold of her and made her stagger. Hero 3 steadied her, holding her from behind. “I think it’s time for that nap, hm?” “Yeah… I. I think so, thank you [Hero 3].” Hero 3 chuckled, “Don’t thank me yet.” Hero 1 furrowed her brow but let it slide. He probably meant because she wasn’t home yet. “I’m just so glad this is all over. For a while, I thought we were never going to get this sorted, b.but we have.”
She wiped a stray tear from her eye. “What do we do now? I… I didn’t plan anything for after this fight in case I… y’know?”
“Well, I’m glad you did survive, because I have a plan or two for you.” “What’s that supposed to mean-” The next thing Hero 1 knew, that reassuring grip Hero 3 had on them became a terrifying grip. Hero 3 covered her mouth and her nose, stopping her from making even the slightest noise.
She panicked and tried to free herself from his grip, wriggling, kicking him in the shins, and trying to pry his hand away, only he grabbed her by the sore arm and forced it behind her. The pain was blinding but she couldn’t scream. She was so spent up that her legs gave way from under her. Hero 3 pushed her down, pinning her against the concrete floor. She couldn’t do anything about it. She couldn’t even breathe, and the need for air was boiling in her chest. She was struggling to move, to stay awake…
“Sorry, [Hero 1], but I’ve had this planned for a long time, and you two were an excellent help in getting rid of my rival. What’s that saying [Hero 2] was always so keen on using again? Ah yes, out of the frying pan, and into the fire.”
Hero 1’s stomach flipped with the chilling realisation, then her world went dark.
Garrick(Hero 2) smiled at the paramedic that was helping him clean up. He had managed to grit his teeth and bear the pain through the stitches and cleaning and was feeling quite proud of himself. “Thanks, love,” he said with a smile and a wink. “Did you send some people up to help with my teammates over there?”
The lady looked at him with a raised eyebrow. “I thought the two of them left.”
“Wha?” Garrick turned to see no sign of Aroll(Hero 3) and Keli(Hero2). Garrick went to stand up and nearly passed out in the process.
“Woah, there,” the paramedic said, steadying him. “No need for that. I’m sure they just went home or somewhere to get cleaned up. You still need to see a real doctor of some kind and get some rest.”
Garrick allowed himself to be led away, wondering if he just misplaced his phone at home or if he had brought it and gotten it smashed in the fight. It wouldn’t be the first time for either of those scenarios.
Garrick woke in a bed at the headquarters quite a while later. He was sore from head to toe from fighting and the pressure that the healing potions put on his body, but he found it in himself to get up, find some cheerios, and call up Keli on his sister’s cell phone. The phone rang for what felt like ages before passing him to voicemail. He frowned over his cereal and tried again. ‘Come on, come on, come on,’ he repeated over and over in his head as he waited. No response. He considered the phone in his hand, a strange feeling washing through his stomach. He ate the rest of his cheerios while he dialed up his contacts in the hero society. Terry would know where Keli was at.
Except he didn’t. Gerrick’s old teammate fell flat on info for the first time since the hero had known the informant. At a loss, Gerrick stared at his phone. The intense feeling of dread rose in his stomach as he dialed Aroll, putting the device to his ear with vaguely shaking hands.
Aroll picked up. “Hey, Gerrick. What’s up?”
“I was wondering if you knew where Keli is. I haven’t seen her since the end of the other day’s fight and you two vanished before I could finish with the paramedics.”
“Oh, yeah,” Aroll said conversationally. “I took her back to my house to have her cleaned up, but she left a few hours later. Said she was going to go visit her mom or something. I think the battle shook her so she wanted to spend time with family. I was actually thinking of doing the same thing. Haven’t seen my pops in ages.”
“Alright, Aroll. Thanks.”
“No prob.”
Gerrick hung up and gritted his teeth. Aroll had lied. Keli’s mom lived down the street from her. Her visiting her mom for so long didn’t make sense, and she always answered her phone when she was home. She had only ever missed calls when she was on a mission or otherwise occupied. But she didn’t let the phone just ring if she was home. Just in case one of her friends was in serious trouble.
Gerrick got up, holding his sore ribs. He realized in that moment that he was going to need help. He was so sore he could barely limp in a straight line. He sat down again with a drawn out groan. He looked at his phone once again and winced. He could think of only one other person who might be able to help, and it wasn’t going to be enjoyable.
He called one more person.
“Dawson?” Gerrick said with a wince. “I know we’re not on the best of terms but….. I need your help. I’m calling in that favor.”
………….
Dawson glared at Gerrick from the driver’s seat. Dawson was a masked vigilante who didn’t like heroes or villains or government officials or anyone really. “You’re sure about this?”
“Very,” Gerrick nodded. “I’ve been looking into some things. He has her here. I just don’t know why.”
Dawson sighed and stepped out of the car. He came around and opened Gerrick’s door and helped him out. Gerrick was still sore up to his collar bones.
“Thanks,” Gerrick muttered.
The warehouse was not very well guarded in the slightest. Dawson and Gerrick entered without any difficulty other than a lock on the window they had chosen. They sidled between the boxes inside, keeping an eye out for anything suspicious. They heard voices echoing in the back of the warehouse and crept closer to listen.
“Well, Keli, your powers have certainly been useful, but I’m tired of having to drag it out. The sooner you cooperate, the sooner you can go free, understand?”
Gerrick clenched his fist upon hearing Aroll’s voice. He peered around a forklift and gritted his teeth as he caught sight of Aroll standing in front of a cage. Keli was doing her best to stand in defiance against him. Gerrick could see her panting from where he was hiding. She took a deeper breath and hissed, “You know me better than that, Aroll.”
“Indeed I do,” Aroll sighed, picking up a long, skinny device. “I suppose I’ll just have to be patient.”
Dawson stepped out from hiding before Aroll could use the strange device he was holding. “Stop right there, cowboy,” he said, the gun he built himself aimed steadily at Aroll.
Aroll spun around with a hiss. “Dawson? What are you doing here? This isn’t anything you’d ever do.”
“A friend called in a favor,” Dawson said, lip lifting in disgust.
Gerrick limped around some crates to get closer to the cage. Keli looked exhausted and very bruised, but she still had a fire in her eyes. She started working on her cage while Aroll was distracted. Gerrick stepped out of the shadows and crossed to Aroll, fists clenched.
Aroll frowned. “You weren’t supposed to find out about this.”
There was a clang behind him as Keli stepped from what remained of her cage, the look of a hungry animal in her eye.
Aroll glanced at the three surrounding him, taking in weaknesses and weighing the danger in his head. His face split wide into a grin. “I suppose I’ve been caught. That’s alright. I have uses for all of you.”
“You’re assuming that you’ll be winning this fight,” Dawson said, drawing another gun.
Aroll shrugged. “I’ll only know if I try.” He smirked at Gerrick. “Let’s dance.”
Oh my gosh, I love this so much!!!! 😍 Great job and thank you for continuing a piece of my work 😊
Cloudwalker Series Part 5
Alright, here we go with some whump. I don’t think there’s any trigger warnings for this one, but it contain a whumper trying to train a whumpee.
Total Words: 1557
Come, stay, kneel, and follow; those were the commands that Ihuka knew, not that he obeyed them, but he did know what they meant at least. Avizon was determined to work with him and get training underway. He could get Ihuka to do as he wanted, not that it would necessarily be easy. He could see the resentment in Ihuka’s face, his own determination to not break. This would be a test of wills, one Avizon would excel in for the simple fact he was in charge.
“Kneel.”
Since I've been so scarce with my writing recently I thought I'd reblog this from my other smol blog so you guys have something to read if you want, though be warned, it is whump writing. I'm trying my best to get out of this very inconsiderate headspace but I just feel like a deflated balloon with no motivation. Maybe I'm just being lazy idk. I'm hoping to write up some asks today anyway.
Hey, I love your blog! I have a kind of specific ask - a hero has a terminal illness villain could treat, but hero won’t accept the treatment for moral reasons, so villain kidnaps and forcibly treats them. Thanks!!
Trigger warning of terminal illness. I didn’t name anything and I sorta made it up as I went for this (since it’s meant to be kinda unique) so bear that in mind. Also vomiting, so… enjoy that. Also thank you for the 4.5K followers!
(I hope you don’t mind I continue this)
FIRST PART INST MINE
Hero slowly woke up, there body aching slightly. For a moment they swore they could feel things crawling around inside if them, “What… what happened?”
As their vision cleared they were staring dead into the villain’s eyes, which were full of chiding curiousity.
“You look better today,” Villain cooed softly, “Your not as pale.” Hero groaned and tried to sit up only to be stopped by Villain’s hand, “cant let you get up yet, they haven’t finished.”
Hero was confused on what they were but then they remembered, “You put nanobotz inside of me.” They tried to sound and angry and intimidating as possible but they’re voice barely came out as a squeak.
Villain nodded, “I hope you don’t mind tingling sensations.” They stood up straight and looked at a moniter, Hero’s vision hadn’t yet fully focused yet.
Villain smirked, “that’s why alright I can work with that.” Hero’s voice escaped their lips softly, “What do you mean?” Villain spoke softly, “I can fix this, what the few issues were before this were-” they paused and glanced at the screen again- “Irritatingly difficult to fix.”
Hero could now look at the monitor, vitals and other medical stuff they barely understood were plastered to the screen. That included where said nanobots were located in their body.
They shivered and swore they could feel them moving around, tiny machines messing with there insides, it repulsed them.
“Why do thus, I fought you for ages, why help me,” Hero asked weakly confused and slightly terrified. Villain smirk wide den slightly, First I wanted to use my tools again and second I miss someone trying to stop me.l, it was entertaining.“
"Are you going to kill me? Hero’s voice shook slightly as they looked at villain. They shook there head, "I would have let this illness get to you first, though I am curious about other things about you that I’m planning on looking into.”
Hero knew this was too good to be true, “ They were being cured and possibly experimented on, they would rather die than be stuck her so villain could pick and prod at them, "Like what?”
“Mostly abilities, what’s so different about you that makes you-” Villain waved his hand- “Special, what I’ve found is… intreging.”
Hero would admit they were slightly curious about they’re own abilities at times but now they were petrified, if villain could find out what gave them these abilities what stopped them from removing them and/or giving them there own.
Hero strained against then binds holding them here, “If your not done why wake me up.” Villain raised an eyebrow, “I’ve found what made you illness lethal and in treating it, who said u was going to be done when you woke up.”
Logic, they held back that retort a they watched around the room. They attenpted to ignore the tingling sensation creeping ip there spine, past there knee and I not there head, “What are you doing.”
It was more of a demand than a question, the villain’s response chilled them to the bone, “Editing some mistakes.”
There was another! Sorry, Silver, I'm pretty useless. 😂😅
Young Vampiress
(This is my sort of weird and warped sequel, all credit for the story idea goes to the Morally Grey Mother [@morallygreyprompts for you uncultured swine] https://morallygreyprompts.tumblr.com/post/188722829532/vampire-continuation-2-and-finale )
“Young Mai,” the Matriarch spoke softly as I continued to braid her ivory hair, “For someone who interacts with humans daily you don’t join your sister in many of their gossip, why?
Mai slipped a golden flower into one of the notches of the braid, “I just know a majority of it is fake and fruitless Matriarch.”
“Even we can fall for them Young Mai, I see the way you watch that… mortal Hero,” the Matriarch’s calm amber eyes stared forward amused by her small fantasies.
Mai blushed in embarrassment, ‘He’s admirable but Matriarch I have little interest in his brash nature.”
The Matriarch’s hand grasped the golden goblet of blood and took a sip, “Young Mai.”
She finished the elegant braid down her matriarchs back and nodded, ‘Yes Matriarch?”
“You, unlike your sisters, have true experience with the humans and their realm, am i correct?”
Mai dipped her head in respectful submission, “Yes Matriarch, they think us the fiend you can summon.”
The Old Vampire smiled, “There is a thralls descendant, that Hero you watch refers to him as a Villain, has been… messing with my portals. If you could find out information on him or stop him from messing with our coven’s portals.”
Mai’s fang caught on her lip, drawing a drop of her enchanted blood, “I know who you are referring to Matriarch, may i ask for a request?
“Yes you may.”
Mai glanced down, feeling guilty for even thinking of this, “May I borrow a grimoire?”
Her Matriarch smiled, “Of course Young Mai, don’t feel guilty for asking for a tool you need young one.”
The Matriarch’s withered hands emitted a purple glow as she spun her fingers over an empty part of the table. A book, made of well oiled leather and braids of runes, materialized on the desk under the Matriarchs fingers, “Here young one.”
Mai’s smooth fingers wrapped around the polished cover in an unnaturally delicate manner, as if the wind could send the book into a million pieces at the slightest breeze, “Thank you Matriarch. The Elderly Vampriess smiled, “Now Young Mai, find out what happened in the Human’s realm and if you can, fix that thralls mishaps.”
She bowed to her Matriarch and tucked the enchanted book under her arm, “Thank you Matriarch.”
The Powerful Vampiress smiled at the Young one, “Strive to please love.”
The young vampiress walked out of the elaborate dressing room and soon the sound of her light footsteps echoed out the door of the coven’s elaborate home at the peak of the Vampiric realm.
The young Mai’s face was the most youthful out of all of her coven sisters and had the most pigment. She could pass as a mortal long enough to get information and leave for her home in the dark realm of the Vampires.
Despite everything the spiraling opal portal to the realm of the light still stood stronger than any marble statue and blewed its sickening warmth all over the ruins.
Mai palmed the grimoire in her satule, the magic inside would be vital if she ran into the empires of the Mortal Realm. Before she stepped into the embrace of the Mortal Realm she donned a cloak that forced the night of the realm to be benign towards her. Secondly she transmogrified the grimoire to sit as an amethyst amulet on her chest. She wanted to just be able to touch it and know its spells rather than flip through pages for eons.
A grimoire is infinite spell book after all.
Mai grasped the base of her cloak and inhaled as she stepped through the portal.
~~~~~~~
Mai stumbled and landed on the grass laced ground, dirt covering her copper hands.
The shadows told Mai that it was “night” in this realm, the time where her abilities were unlimited and she didn’t need the grimoire.
“This is nice,” Mai timidly spoke as the familiar chilly air circles her hair, sending a few midnight black strands out of her loose braid.
Soon the sound of people startled her out of her admirance of how calm this realm was at night.
Three people, two of them helping a third walk, began to appear over to the young pureblood’s left.
With a quick swirl of her hand her body had shifted from her small humanoid form into a tiny dragon, no larger than a feline familiar. Her navy blue scales blended in with the surrounding darkness, allowing her to slowly creep up on the three humans.
As if the blood tide turned in her favor she recognized one of the three, the Hero she needed to follow.
Her serpentine form slithered toward the three, keeping a safe distance from them at all times but still keeping an ear out on their conversation.
“I’m still sticking you entire arm in holy water and you cannot stop me, both of you!” The darkest figure snapped.
The smallest sighed, “Fine it just burns like the devil.”
“Good it’s working you!”
The Hero, who’s eyes displayed buckets full of guilt spoke, “I’m sorry for thinking everything you said was just superstition, if I would have listened we wouldn’t be in this mess.”
“You’re gonna listen to me more now?”
“Probably not.”
The shadowy figure chuckled, “At Least he’s honest.”
Mai followed them continuously until the darker figure spoke up, “You didn’t think about getting back did you?”
The person the two were holding shook his head, ‘Wasn’t on the priority list.”
The dark figure groaned, “Follow me I was smart and drove.”
The Hero and the other person sighed in relief and now Mai had a path to follow.
Her small dragon legs were beginning to gain soreness as the approached what appeared to be a black car. Mai had seen these contraption on her previous extensions to the mortal realm. They worked like chariots but were louder and more obnoxious.
As one of these humans opened the door Mai slipped in and hid under one of the awkward shaped seats. She hated having to twist herself in at an awkward position to fit in this monstrosity.
They chatted mostly about a ‘villain’ which luckily was useful to me.
“Seriously ouch.”
“Getting bitten by a vampire is gonna hurt!”
Mai’s wings were in pain by the time the machine came to a stop and the humans hopped out, she not far behind. They pulled themselves into the house, Mai’s small serpent form not far behind.
The three took a sharp right and the Hero punched in a set of numbers into a keypad and a door slid open. Mai dashed in and hid herself in the shadows as they talked, “I’m not leaving until both yall wounds have been bleached in holy water!”
Mai watched them pore the mask shift purification potion over the smaller humans wounds, his face was contorted in agony, “Ouch fu-”
Mai inhaled and smelt the issue, the smaller one had gotten the impurities into his life flow.
Makeshift potions wouldn’t work.
She made the decision to purify him once the other two were out of sight or she could just find a spell in her grimoire. She chose the latter
Clutching the amulet pendant she searched for a restaurant spell. Her eyes began to glow softly once she had found and memorized the words. The three humans saw a flicker in their peripherals and all three spun around to lock eyes with Mai.
Her copper ingot colored fingers wrapped around the pendant. Her hood was down revealing her pointed ears but the three didn’t care about her face, just her mouth and the pointed fang that was nibbling on her lower lip.
“How did you get in here!” the smallest one snapped as he wrapped his fingers round a wooden stake.
Mai responded as calmly as she could, “I apologize or startling you three but—”
The smallest lunged toward Mai brandishing the stake.
“Arimos,” Mai spoke the restraining spell and all three were pinned onto her knees by hundreds of black boney hands.
All three struggled and fear began to bloom in their eyes as Mai strode up to the smallest one.
The Hero Mai recognized snapped, “Keep your freakish hands off my sidekick.”
Mai winced at the insult but kneeled in front of the Hero’s sidekick as she dug in her satule for the perfected purification potion.
“I’m sorry for having to do this,” Mai barely muttered as she opened the vial. The boney hand forced the sidekick to hold his head back as Mai forced to vital to his lips.
The sidekick tried to spit out the potion but the boney hands forced his mouth closed and after some struggling the sidekick swallowed the potion.
The dark figure who, unknown to Mai, had escaped his binds and was furious at Mai.
Catching Mai off guard as he ripped off her cloak, taking the grimoire amulet with it. The second the amulet left her neck it shifted back into a book. Mai jumped in surprise as she tried to force her way back to the book.
The darker person planted a foot on her chest and scouled, “You have five seconds to explain what you did and how to reverse it, get taking!”
Have this wonderful post since you didn't get much yesterday and this is fantastic. 😁
Okay so I just posted that on the wrong blog. Let's try again
I’m putting a story up on Wattpad now because I don’t like this blog or my Wattpad being empty. This is more of a crime story but it still works. Old fashioned, gangs, gun fights, cute godfatherly son relationships, and a little humour. I have a baby snippet here which might tempt you. 😅
“Where is it?” he demanded. “You’ll have to be more specific than that,” Gordon answered. A shot fired close to Gordon’s foot. “The necklace! The blue diamond necklace!” the other shouted.
How the devil did volunteering to paint a kitchen land Gordon Cartwright here? The cocking of a gun returned his focus to the gunmen surrounding him, each with their icy eyes stabbing through him. The more pressing matter was how was he going to get back out of the situation he had been thrown into with his godson?
How did they keep getting into situations like this?
Only reblogging as it’s the first proper story you’ll see from me. It got me pretty high marks so I hope you like it.
Word count is 4648. I’ll probably split it into chapters but I’m going to be super impatient and post them all in one go.
Tarot Hero/Villain Prompts (Request)
A/N: A small headcanon list thing for @silverinkgoldenquill . Sorry, I’m not so good at this, since it’s my first time writing on Tumblr. It’s a short list but my first one so… y'know. Hope you like it!
- Well first off, I imagine it would work better if the time period was around the 1300’s to the 1600’s.
-The Hero using Tarot as their ‘weapon’, summoning Major Arcana as spirits to fight for them. Like using the tarot card, “the magician” and being able to summon a spectral figure that fights for them through magic.
-Travelling around as a fortune teller when they aren’t a hero
- One day, the hero enters a town which is neglected by their ruler (the soon-to-be villain)
- That night, a masked stranger appears and demands a tarot reading from the Hero and ends up receiving a bad reading.
-The masked stranger turns out to be the neglectful ruler, turned villain, as they turn ruthless and attack out at any opposing towns or nobility
-Thus begins the fight between the Hero and Villain. The Hero would most likely use the same Tarot the Villain got in their reading as the tarot did originally warn them of their future.
Shh, sneaky extra prompt for today I'm feeling nice. I'd asked TarotCard about Magic for an upcoming ask (out on the 10th). Tarot is a personal friend from outside Tumblr and my personal Tarot Queen, otherwise I don't really do submissions. But this is a gift for me and I LOVE how Hero fights in this and the story idea so I thought I'd share. I guess you really are a witch Tarot ;) Happy Halloween everyone! My prompts for today will be up at normal time.
