Ranting into the void 2: 2 am edition
My problem with Furuya Torus modern roles (from an actors perspective) . Don’t get me wrong he’s not a bad actor, just a bad person. The well known actor Furuya Toru has had many roles throughout his career staring as early as 1979, these roles have been seen as impactful to many audiences throughout the world, as he had his spot as Amuro ray for many many years, despite his previous popularity, his modern roles lack the same clarity than the ones he did at just 20 years old, his modern acting has less emotion towards it and less usual acting voice incantations instead just opting to do the same voice over and over and over recycled with some minor differences, when he was younger his acting roles had clarity to them and proper emotions that were brought upon the audience watching, meanwhile for his roles as bourbon he doesn’t let as much emotion go into his voice to the point where it wouldn’t be far off to assume he’s just reading a script rather than voice acting with his whole heart, these later roles lack the heart he once had when he was younger. This is especially seen in his roles as Bourbon as even in supposed tense moments he still keeps the same tone the same diction of words the same everything, his modern acting up till his retirement/fire was monotonous repeats of the same voice incantations over and over although he used to connect to the audience through his voice, he could no longer properly reach these feats nearing the end of his career
