This run-down, wild farm, with its endless tangle of fairytale brambles arcing around the roots of maple and oak trees, and its overgrown ponds full of frogs and flowering water weeds, was beyond perfect.

Ooh, no, I haven't had anyone ask about it, so that's really sweet! I didn't get too far with that story in the end. I'm glad you liked Rowan, and I can try to work on his story a bit around some of my other projects if there's more interest? I've got some snippets and sections written already, but nothing really ready to go.
Thanks for your interest, and I always appreciate people letting me know when they want more of something I've written :)

I feel like I've reposted and deleted these several times already lol but this time they're staying !! anyways, Shane x Liv sketches from a few years ago that I still like
so... this stardew werewolf farmer project is getting way out of hand at like 11k words of draft and story and angst and stuff... hnnnggg why can’t I just be normal about projects and keep it contained and manageable instead of everything breaking containment and going wild in my brain for a few weeks until it inevitably just fizzles out.
So on a millionth playthrough of Stardew Valley to alleviate the somewhat-immense emotional life stress right now, I’ve decided to write a fanfic with my gruff, buff, farmer lad Rowan, who was bitten by a lone werewolf in Zuzu City, turned against his will, and needed to leave the city because it was overwhelming for a newly turned werewolf.
Turns out there are other supernaturals in Stardew Valley, including a wizard, his unhinged (affectionate) ex-wife, a goblin, a dwarf, a shadow guy, and a siren, to name but a few…
It’s gonna be an endgame-Sebastian romance I think, but I’m just having fun writing it for now, and I have two chapters written of my super grumpy, loner lad Rowan.
Might toss it up into Ao3 at some point if anyone is interested?

love how if you marry Abigail, her 14 heart event is about her having to save you from a monster and feeling some sort of quiet but life changing guilt about taking a life for the first time and she insists on burying it and if you go by the grave later you get a message about how she had to take a life to save yours and you will never forget that.
but if you marry Sebastian, he’ll just be hanging out in the kitchen one morning and be like “hey, couldn’t sleep last night so I went for a walk through the mines and got this for you” and hand you void essence which you can only get in the mines by going down to the 80+ levels and killing Shadow People, which are sapient people that can talk and have their own culture and customs and shit, and this is a Perfectly Normal morning you can have.

to be fair 90% of the game is farming, but there are also wizards and a thousand year war between dwarves and Shadow People and cute little forest spirits that will help you overthrow Walmart.
I just came across a monster mod for stardew valley, guess who’s learning how to add mods heh
ahhh yeah!!!! Awesome!!! Enjoy yourself! Finding out about mods like that for Stardew was what sparked my Starfall Springs universe :D
(I never learned to mod though, so I never got to enjoy the monster romance dream... Maybe with a new PC I can try again. I can't even open Steam now without everything having a huge tantrum on my laptop)

A new game in development by Concerned Ape !
It looks like it has crafting and design elements, plus some combat- there are slimes that look just like the ones in Stardew Valley. It seems overall aesthetically similar to SDV as well, if a bit more spooky.
