i can’t remember where i wrote about this (maybe cut it out of tltmts) but there’s blurb where michael is talking about how adam grew up mostly alone in an empty house and how when adam was taken it felt like that, and i can’t stop thinking about it!!!! so here:
Growing up, Adam was always alone, waiting for his mom to come home because the house felt too big without her. Now that he’s alone, Michael feels as if he understands the feeling.
Adam’s bones are the walls, his skin is the paint, his veins are the wires that hold the power, and his soul is the sunlight peaking in through the blinds. His freckles are every decoration littered throughout, while his organs are the furniture, his heartbeat is the background noise playing on the tv, and his laughter is a constant song that plays.
Without him, the house is silent. It feels dark and cold, like there’s too much space for him to occupy despite originally wishing he could just be by himself. Michael is standing alone in an empty living room with no place to rest; he’s just staring at the front door waiting for it to open.

im going to say what probably everyone on here has said but i need to say it somewhere anyways.
its insane that both brothers forgot about Adam
i kinda understand how Dean forgot about Adam kinda like he only really met the kid once. That meeting being the same one where they lost him to an archangel and the other not technically real meeting were he beat a monster that looked like him to death. But yk those are forgettable moments in spn world
but sam?? literally how? he was in hell with Adam for like 150 years and still pushed him to the back of his mind for 10 years? and sure most of that time he was being tortured by the devil but when he got out he never thought about the other boy in the cage?
And the worst part was they went back to the cage and didn't even mention him!! they released the devil before asking about their brother they pulled into hell. Lucifer is the only one to mention Michael that episode and they decide to believe him for some reason
Sam and Dean also only ever remember Michael is alive. it's like they forget Michael has been possessing their brother and they think they can have Michael without Adam. Maybe they thought that because it was easier to think Michael got rid of Adam at some point then actually try and help the kid.
They didn't try hard enough for Adam and some people say it's because he didn't earn it but if anybody earned it I believe it was Adam. He got killed because he was related to John Winchester, Just like how sam and dean were basically cursed for being his son. Then Adam got a second chance because of the angels and he almost chose his brothers but couldn't because they failed to save him and choose to save each other once again.
And If that didn't earn him a chance to be saved did that not earn him a chance to be remembered?
And after that he didn't get another chance to prove himself to them. guess why? because the Winchesters throw him into hell! And I don't even think he should have had too prove himself anyways because he was honestly an innocent boy just cursed and forgotten because of who he was related to
so Adam was forgotten by Dean who probably only forgot him because Adam took Deans burden for him and by Sam who he suffered through the worst parts of hell with and not one real attempt was made to save him
well anyways happy birthday Adam Milligan🎉🎊🎂 have fun celebrating with Michael on his special day as well
also sorry if this rant was pointless and confusing i just love to yap about my favorite 'Winchester' brother and the injustice done on him
(also why did the Angels try to save Sam but not their big brother Michael who practically ran heaven? seems unfair as well, poor midam always being forgotten by their brothers)
LITERALLY THIS. It’s insane. No wonder why when they get out they only talk about being with each other and being each other. There’s nothing else for them. They have been both forgotten by their family, by God and by anyone they thought of as important for them.
Honesty I would have become insane. I can’t imagine why they didn’t went on a killing spree. I would’ve cheered.
Yes midam, go and kill them. Rule the universe fairly or go to other dimensions planets or whatever like the Doctor and Rose. They deserved so much better.
Imagine. Trapped in Hell, with time and space becoming irrelevant when they start seeing everybody else leave the place. And it’s just them. It’s so tragic. Then when they get out, Adam wants a burger and pizza, and who is Michael to say no to this human? The only one who stayed and has changed him. That is still with him. That doesn’t want to live normally or can’t. That shares with him the body (like symbrock).
If I’m thinking about Adam I just. Fuck the Winchesters. Idgaf.

the list of people who brought up adam is a tech crew high schooler in fan fiction (the episode from s10 ?) and a scrapped scene where lucifer mentioned him to sam in s11. ugh!!!!

writing this fic and it turned into adam being pissed at sam…. which just makes so much sense. because who tried to get adam out of the cage? it was dean! he tried to get death to save him and was forced to choose, which was an obvious choice. yes, sam is important to dean, but soulless!sam was getting to be a problem. and after he got it back, he should’ve been the one to initiate trying to get adam back because he knows, more intimately than anyone, what the cage does to a soul.

but he didn’t. and out of everyone, lucifer is the one to bring him up years later!! (and indirectly calls out sam’s chosen one complex and calls him selfish for not even bothering to mention adam and instead avoiding him….thinking about @shallowseeker’s posts about lucifer and his cognitive empathy and sam’s tendencies toward dissociation/avoidance/‘running away’) then he said michael was cuckoo for coco puffs after he admitted to planting hallucinations in sam’s head! and honestly it’s interesting that he would’ve just trusted lucifer (?!?!!!) of all people after that reveal. like yep, no use trying to save him, he’s already gone! and yeah this scene was scrapped but it haunts me because nothing would’ve changed. sam had already determined adam was a lost cause and it just makes no sense to me. they are allies with demons and soulless people! they know how to cure demons! like! sam and dean’s own souls have gone to shit! they should’ve at least talked!!! but no!!!!
it’s just crazy to me that the writers remembered michael and adam and then just left it. s11 could’ve been so much better with them and i stand by it. the drama we missed!
