Summary: Castiel owns The Garrison, a popular club in a midsized Midwest town. He also has a dark past he can’t quite get away from and a darkness within, a dark, oily sludge, he’s never quite been able to rid himself of.
Dean is in yet another new town, his brother just left for college on the other side of the country and his dad just up and vanished in the middle of the night without warning. He’s alone, angry, and bristling with a recklessness that mimics the untamed inferno raging behind his ribcage, something he’s fought to tame his entire life. Does darkness always equate to evil? Does light always allude to purity? Or do both extremes consume entirely, simply in different ways? hjdkkjdkk no but. imagine. han solo. just got captured. about to be turned into a hansicle. then the iconic scene with leia, only this time han confesses to leia and this somehow summons the carbonite and he is frozen. the scene is incredibly heartfelt and dramatic, leia is heartbroken. then she joins up with luke and chewie and just says that hans gone and thats it. they continue with their mission, but they never fucking mention han again, except to say something like “its what he would have wanted”. chewie leaves at some point. its only luke and leia and this random ewok they found. leia says they need to go on this one random mission bc they never retired even though they won the galactic war. a fucking… idk,,, surviving stormtrooper manages to shoot leia in a place that definitely shoudnt kill her, but it kinda does and luke just. lets her die. leia turns into a force ghost, obi wan is there to greet her. he kinda implies that han is hanging out somewhere in the force, too. apparently it was super possible to get him out of the carbonite lmao? who knew? but leia just takes her x-wing and bops around in the force for 40 years until luke dies and joins her. she doesnt look for han once.
makes perfect sense if you ask me. why would anyone be dissatisfied with that? how about we act like han was just this minor character. after all, the story is mostly about luke and leia, the SKYWALKERS. anyone who says differently is just a harrison ford stan. how about we ban the actors from talking about han and how about we dont let fans ask questions about the confession? great fucking idea georgenathan, heres the keys to my house, go fuck my wife. what do you mean #hanleia is trending over the presidential election

Dean not trying to get Cas back from The Empty is actually pretty consistent with his previous reactions to Cas’ deaths.
Aside from Dean asking/praying for Chuck to do it, I can’t think of a time Dean actively tried to bring Cas back through his own specific actions.
While it would’ve been an interesting parallel to have Dean save him, why anger another cosmic entity by bustin in guns blazing, when all Dean’s ever had to do…

oh. they were in love for years and wanted to tell each other so bad. the mixtape of romantic songs. the “I love you” in s12. the jealousy. not being with other people because they only wanted to be with each other. the bickering. the phone calls to each other just to talk. the conversations worrying about each other. confiding in each other. the widow arc. the longing glances. the small touches they allowed themselves. the pain of their separation. the relief of their reunion. feeling unwell in this chilis tonight.
I’m really tired today.

Omg the dog episode. Dean is lusting after a poodle. The LENGTHS Jensen went to for this show. They did him so dirty.
And there is such casual disregard for ongoing continuity with this show. So all animals can communicate with each other and are basically sentient? That's a hell of a world view you slap into a show and, I'm assuming as they've done this countless times before, never address again.
Dis. Goddamn. Show. I only started watching in November and I'm tainted for life.
About that poodle though... It had a pink bow, with a pink collar, and a pink leash. So, it’s all good, right? Just guys being dudes (dogs).
I mean, it’s not as if Dean had an actual human love interest that season or anything.
