what are your thoughts on montessori schools? i feel like for people that want to do that dumb unschooling idea, these are at least a structured way to do it with a legitimate curriculum and teachers where kids actually get interaction with others and learn social skills. they're still a little weird IMO but I can at least see the appeal to them

i havent done any in depth research into them, id want to like look at actual studies n shit before being like ‘ill send my kid to one of these/hell fucking no’ ya know

I went to a Montessori school from like 2.5-4ish I can't remember but I always got in trouble because I wanted to read or do math and stuff but the teachers were always like no let's color. My parents pulled me and I went to a traditional school and almost got skipped from kindergarten to 3rd but the age gap would have been crazy so they let me go to 2nd. I just felt that the one I went to had I stayed wouldn't have challenged me because I would have been in that same classroom for another year when my scores at that age were way above average. That's why I don't like the age based schooling. But it does have some benefits.

somehow they managed to spare the lives of members of the audience bc there was a deafening applause once they finished, the slain judge jumped to his feet to clap for them.
