Something to think about

So, Basara fans. I’d like to call your attention to Season 2, Episode 5: “Engraved Pledge! The One-Eyed Dragon vs. the War God… Confrontation at Hitotoribashi!” Consider particularly the moment of acknowledgment and respect that happens between Date Masamune and Uesugi Kenshin near the end of the episode. Centuries after the Warring States era, in 1868, Date Yoshikuni and Uesugi Narinori, the ruling Date and Uesugi lords, met in Shiroishi Castle, the residence of Katakura Kuninori (Katakura Kojūrō XII). There, they jointly issued a summons to the lords of northeastern Japan to send delegates to Shiroishi, in order to convene what would eventually become the Northern Alliance. Date and Uesugi served together as Governors-General (sōtoku) of that Alliance. Of course Basara is fictional, but with those 19th century events in mind, the scene on the bridge made me smile. "You guys have no idea…"

I need to draw moooaar without worrying about the outcome, otherwise I end up not doing anything.
