This was so much fun to do!! I think I have at least five bingos?? I started off with Quotev, then Wattpad, AO3 and finally Tumblr!! I evolved, lol!! I was really into Creepypasta during my Quotev phase as a pre-teen 🤣❤️ (still in the fandom somewhat). My biggest dream is to one day recieve or commission fanart for my fics, I would literally cry since I can't draw for shit and have so many good ideas (like my slasher ocs, can't draw them and haven't written for them yet 😭❤️)

I have a pretty good idea most of the time, but not ALWAYS. Sometimes that comes in the outlining stage, and other times it's like...the place I start lol

10. What work was the quickest to write?
-> Concerning Dwobbits, without a doubt. I decided the day before I posted it that I wanted to do a little something for Hobbit Day, and I busted out a little story in two hours haha.
30. Biggest surprise while writing this year?
Oh goodness, okay. I want to say the two events I participated in this year - Tolkien Reverse Summer Bang and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Collaboration - each ended up with a completed 6 chapter Bagginshield fic (apparently 6 chapters is a good number for me), with a pretty decent word count each, I think!!

40k for TRSB and a little over 25k for THAUC!! I'm very proud, but I also feel I need to focus more on my fics next year rather than events 💜

PIXIE!!! MY BELOVED!!!!
So I've already done this, which you can find here, but I want to still do it again, but this time I'll talk about WHY these specific fics are "my favorite" (even though I love them all for a variety of reasons.)
In no particular order, I picked these as my top five, and here's why!
→ may your forge burn bright This is my first big fic. Honestly, getting into writing fanfic was so nerve wracking. I was so used to just 1:1 roleplaying characters, but to mold the story by myself was...a challenge, and I started out with a few one shots and decided I wanted to do something bigger. It was a great challenge for me, and while the fic is still ongoing, it's still my "I'm learning" fic, I feel. It's what really launched me into writing fics, and probably into the fic-fandom for bagginshield. It's my baby.
→ dragonhearted My second big fic!! Based on my two favorite pieces of media, and honestly, I had the idea of this type of au right out of the gate. It all aligned so perfectly, but I wasn't going to do it. I didn't feel like I could do either story justice in mashing them together. However, I'm going to lay the blame at @dwarvishring's feet for unintentionally giving me the push to just...do it. Now it's become one of the fics that I feel like I'm known for, one of my favorites, and we all know it's @i-did-not-mean-to's favorite as well. It's VERY special to me.
→ when darkness shines brightest My first collaborative project!! I've always loved working with Star on commissions and screaming about various ideas, but this fic actually...started out as a joke. Bagginshield applies to everything haha, and we talked about Nightmare Before Xmas and other things that kind of fit together...and this...whole ass story popped out. I'm having such a great time, and it's definitely one of those stories that feels the most "original" to me. Thank you for being such an awesome partner, @stardryad-random!!!
→ bookbinder//songwriter My first modern au!!! Honestly this whole list is a bunch of firsts for me. This was originally a prompt for a one shot, if I remember correctly, and it TERRIFIED me. Modern AU is something I am still afraid of, but growing to love more and more, and I have grown so very attached to these interpretations of the characters. It's one of those slice of life type of fics with little problems to solve and great joys to be had.
→ where the shadows lie Alright, this is one of those fics where if I'm feeling particularly cheeky or impish, this is where I go. It's such a crackshit fic with the most ridiculous things. When things don't need to be serious, I come here and fall into this silly little world - and it has a plot!! In the background, anyway. It's just so much fun and hits differently than my other stories. Plus, it's a great head nod to one of my other favorite sources of media, What We Do In The Shadows.

Warm to hot, depending on how I feel that day. If I need to relax? HOT. If it's a normal day, warm is fine. But for my hair (incoming hairdresser screeching) I will use cool water, so I can maintain my hair color longer 💜

Okay this is SO COOL. I really love the concept of that time period, and the comedy of “Some Like It Hot” is just gold 👌, it’s a neat idea, I just would need to do some research on the times a bit more. Definitely interesting and I always enjoyed learning about those years in school, so I don’t think it would be out of the question.

Honestly, it's not really a specific type of scene I hate to write, but when it's a necessary scene that is outside my comfort zone as far as characters and setting goes, that's when my brain kind of shuts down. I'm going through this currently but...I push past it! Otherwise I don't really have anything where I've gone "no I'm not writing that again". Not yet anyway lol
Primrose Yellow: What’s your least favourite genre to write?
I'm going to say suspense or thriller - mostly because I've not dabbled in this yet. I do have plans for some more spooky stuff, but we'll see. This is a hard one...I have to expand my horizons more, huh?
Brick Red: Which character gets the happiest ending?
Thorin Oakenshield. 100%. And by proxy this also means Bilbo. I will never NOT give them a happy ending.

📖 Currently Reading: All That She Carried: The Journey of Ashley’s Sack, a Black Family Keepsake by Tiya Miles - It’s for a class I’m taking and tells the story of a sack given to an enslaved 9 year old girl who was sold and taken away from her mother. Not much is known about Ashely (the daughter) and Rose (her mother) but this is a wonderful attempt at telling their story (and the stories of countless other slave families broken up) using historical archive as well as the “silent archive.”

- I've only broken a bone once, however, it was broken in two places. My right arm was broken near the wrist and then further up the bone after I fell on it wrong while playing football with a bunch of boys 🤣
- I'm an Aries! Do whatever you want with that information.
- I am absolutely terrified of ferris wheels. I have a fear of heights, but it's very selective, and ferris wheels are like...my big no-no. I always feel like I'm going to get stuck at the top, or magically get thrown out of the seat. It's weird.
