For the five sentence writing ask, please may I request something based around the idea of, "Is that my knife?", with any character of your choice.
LOOK, EONS LATER I COME BACK WITH FIVE (plus) SENTENCES FOR YOU. I knew which characters I wanted to do for this, I've just been so busy, so I'm glad to finally clear out my inbox some more haha.
Anyway, enjoy some Dwalin/Nori for this one!! 💜
“Is that my knife?” Dwalin’s voice was skeptical and accusatory when eyeballing the auburn haired thief who grinned like the cat who ate the canary. Of course it was his knife, Nori had sticky fingers whether in the market surrounded by dwarrow or in a secluded hallway catching a moment or two away from responsibilities as Spymaster and Guard Captain. “It might be,” Nori practically sang, swinging the dagger in his hand by the hilt and eyeing the etched runes on the blade. “It’s a mighty fine thing. I didn’t think it would be so easy to swipe something off of you.” With a deadpan look, Dwalin just stared before clearing his throat. “You’ve been pick-pocketing me for years now, Nori,” he growled, watching the thief’s expression turn into one of surprise. “Just because I’ve never called you out until now doesn’t mean I wasn’t aware.” “But–! How?” Something in Nori’s sputtering made Dwalin feel prideful, a smirk tugging at his lips that was barely visible as those strong arms folded tightly across his chest. “It kept you coming back for more, did it not?” Nori was speechless, the knife in his hand having gone still as he stared at it. So all this time, the simple game of ‘how many times can I pick-pocket this dwarf’ hadn’t been one-sided at all. And it had kept Nori coming back for more! “You’re not as sly as you think, thief,” Dwalin winked, a low rumble of a chuckle in his chest as he started off, an eager eyed Nori practically nipping at his heels in asking about each and every time that something had been stolen–and of course, Dwalin was aware of it all.
