So I was looking around on Wikipedia and stumbled upon the page for the Arambourgiania, an extinct genus of Pterosaur and there was a helpful size chart with big flappy, a Tyrannosaur, one of those proto-birds that ran around millions of years ago and... Benedict Cumberbatch.

Why is he there? What is he doing there? What powers does he possess? What does he know that we do not?

I’m not sure which translation you are using - potentially an older one- and i absolutely wouldnt be shocked if hussie did take some cues from 1 John 4:13-14, but in all the english translations of the bible that I found, it is “Spirit” and not “Breath”.

Now, breath could have been inspired by the idea of “spirit” (especially as they are often used together in metaphors, or related, etc.) but as far as the religious text goes, god’s Spirit is one of the main themes continually. This starts from the very beginning in genesis where it is said we were created in his image. Interpretations are such that his spirit is inside each of us.

Thus the common christian phrase: “The father, the son, and the holy spirit.”

It’s from the Hebrew version which uses the word “Ruach”, which can mean things like spirit, courage, vigor, soul but also breath. Hence, He has given us of His Breath.
