I brought this unused Loki concept to life!!

I’d been eyeing this stunning design by @aleksibriclot for years, and a little while ago (after two years of working on it) I finally finished it! It has all the dark norse fantasy vibes that I wanted Ragnarok to be, and I figured hey, I can make it myself!

I had to up a lot of my leatherworking skills for this one, and I dove into a lot of new skills as well to try to make all the pieces a cohesive whole. It uses lambskin leather, suede cowhide, and veg tan, as well as an entire sheepskin for the cape!

This whole costume has truly been a labour of Loki love and I’m so glad I was able to share all the madness (process) and the finished look!

This is one of the illustrations I did for the @reforgedzine that I can finally show you all! And yes, it's my favourite — warm colours, soft lighting, and tooth-rotting fluff. Plus some really impressive metal texturing, if I do say so myself.

Also, there's a leftover sale that starts on the 10th of February, so head on over to the website if you're interested in buying one of the zines! And you can find the AO3 collection for all the amazing fics here :D

tony gets kidnapped on his way to a business meeting or something and he goes with it because they’re in a pretty crowded area and he doesn’t want some innocent bystanders getting hurt in the scuffle. the team will notice eventually and his overprotective boyfriend captain american is going to 1. notice very quickly and 2. freak the fuck out, so he’s not really risking much here

also these kidnappers are sort of stupid and he’s not really worried about escaping later. except even though they’re stupid they mention things about the avengers and shield that they really shouldn’t know so tony decides to stick around to see if he can figure out if they lucked into hacking past his security (not likely) or if there’s some sort of mole

except the leader and the underlings get in an argument right in front of him because apparently they were supposed to capture captain america, not iron man, and the guy who grabbed him is like no, no, this is better! we have his boyfriend so we can lure him here instead!

meanwhile tony is just stating in disbelief that these idiots manage to string two thoughts together. there has to be mole. or someone else really in charge. or something.

and the leader is like fine whatever. he takes tony’s phone and opens the contacts and snorts, “this is what you have him saved us? pathetic”

tony looks at the contact labeled <3 <3 love of my life light in the dark wind beneath my wings <3 <3 and is sort of glad he’s gagged so he can’t say anything

he still doesn’t really know what’s going on and jarvis is still trying to hack their system an there’s no harm in sticking around a little longer since these people are. you know. idiots

except approximately fifteen minues later rhodey is busting down the wall and taking out all these guys in thirty seconds flat and tony slips out of the ropes that he’d undone about five minutes after being put into them (thanks nat) and pulls down the gag and says, “i thought you were on radio silence on a mission in ghana”

“i thought you could be trusted on your own, so it looks like we’re both wrong,” rhodey says. “what were you playing at?”

“i would have told you not to come if i’d known you’d get the message,” he protests. “i was working an angle here, okay, jarvis are you into their systems yet?”

“yes,” his trusty ai says from his phone from one of the kidnapper’s pockets. “tracing the origin of their financial backer now.”

“you really didn’t have to stay kidnapped for jarvis to do that,” rhodey points out, brushing him off and checking him for injuries.

tony shrugs. “i didn’t want to risk one of them getting away and tipping them off. take care of them i could. do it before they got a signal out without the suit? maybe not.”

this very reasonable discussion is interrupted by the rest of the avengers coming in swinging and then left blinking except for steve who feels the need to fuss over him while tony whines and complains and pretends he doesn’t love it

he says they were after steve anyway, he was just bait and steve frowns and is like well, why didn’t they try and contact me then? we knew something was wrong because of the stark industries security footage

and natasha, the sneak, has picked tony’s phone from the kidnapper’s pocket. he lunges for it but she skips back from him and says, “well it looks like they tried. they just messaged the wrong person”

steve takes the phone and sees the contact name and that the kidnappers sent the message we have your boyfriend and if you don’t do exactly what we say you’ll never see him again and is like. this is what rhodey is saved as in your phone?? what am i??

“look, the things is, it’s not like i actually use anyone’s contact, or look at it, i just tell jarvis who to call, so you really shouldn’t take this personally,” tony says.

steve types in his own number and stares in disbelief. “captain? i’m saved in your phone as CAPTAIN?”

“okay well when you gave me your number we weren’t dating and also you were being very mean to me at the time, so,” he says, resisting the urge to hide behind rhodey because he doesn’t think that will help

steve turns his gaze to rhodey. “what is tony saved as in your phone?”

“i really don’t think that’s relevant,” he answers, looking back at the hole in the wall like he’s considering flying out of it.

“jarvis, what’s tony saved as in rhodey’s contacts?” steve asks.

tony says, “j, don’t-“

“sir is saved in colonel rhodes’s contacts as baby,” jarvis answers.

clint is laughing so hard he’s going to break a rib. natasha raises an eyebrow, which is about the same thing

steve’s face is pure betrayal

“it’s because he’s an infant,” rhodey says, “and very needy and he throws up on me a lot.”

“hey!” tony scowls. “i haven’t done that in years!”

“and when you were texted about your boyfriend being kidnapped, you just knew it was tony?” steve asks.

rhodey shrugs. “well, who else would it be?”

even steve doesn’t have an answer to that

“it’s purely platonic,” tony says reassuringly, “carol would scratch my eyes out.”

steve scowls and sulks until tony changes his contact name

except now he’s in tony’s phone as captain handsome. he tells himself it’s an upgrade

‘it’s just trendy to hate on marvel’ no. marvel has done this to themselves. they overwork underpaid and non unionized vfx artists, they don’t allow actors to have access to the full scripts, they gloat about continuity but don’t have consistency, very few of the writers care even slightly about the characters or the source material, and they have gone for quantity over quality / are overproducing their product to the point of consumer exhaust. they are a multi billion dollar creative monopoly that should be held accountable

That reminds me of the fans who claim Phase 4 is the same as Phase 1 and we're being too "impatient" because we want to know how the movies are connected to each other and how it all ends way too soon.

  1. I don't give a damn about the grand story they're supposedly going to tell at the end of the Phase, I want the movies to be standalones, I want the characters' stories, I want the title characters to be on the spotlight.
  2. Phase 4 is NOTHING like Phase 1. In the first one we were introduced to the characters, the stories were personal and their relationships to other characters were given the main focus (friends, family, partners, etc). Phase 4 is completely impersonal. You replace one character with another and nothing changes, it only matters what is done not who is doing it.
  3. They keep parroting that everything is connected when that stopped being true with EG. Nothing that came after that matters and if you don't follow the other movies/series you can understand everything just fine. Best example: WandaVision. Wanda has fully regressed and nothing she learned in her series mattered. I wouldn't have a problem with that, I don't care if they're connected or not, the issue here is that none of it is consistent with previous characterization. How the characters behave depends entirely on the director, it's way too inconsistent.
  4. Also, nothing that happens to the characters changes them. They might go through something amazingly traumatizing and get out of it exactly the same way they were before. Usually there will be one line mentioning a previous film and that's it.
  5. I'm tired of character development being done in one-minute sequences with scenes jammed up so they can speed up the story. I'm watching these movies because I care about the characters, if it's 85% cool fighting scenes and CGI then what's the point.
  6. How about giving us actual female characters with their own powers and suits?
  7. This is probably my biggest peeve: there's too much victim blaming, too much "romance saves the day" and none of the current directors/writers seem to understand that romance and self-love are not the same thing.

I mean.... This. Entirely this. All of this.

Should I post my “Captain America is not a golem, he’s King David” rant here as well? It’s already up on TikTok

three likes? that’s enough for me lmao

For context this comes from a lecture I did a little over a year ago called “Superman on the Nile” (cause, y’know, Superman and Moses) in which I claimed that all superhero media owes its existence to Jewish ideals, and this is only a part of a wider analysis of the Jewish themes and principles present in superhero media in general as a result. Basically, my claim is that the Jewish history of the medium of comics is not incidental but rather inherent to its existence and its values. click here for an overview of the bigger themes I’m referencing, but you don’t at all need to read that in order to understand this.

I call this the David-Cap allegory but like part of it is just debunking the idea that Cap is a golem. To get this out of the way: Captain America is not a golem. A golem is a non-sentient tool. It has no will of its own, it can be destroyed rather easily, if you know what you’re doing, and in general is more of a thing than a person. It is made to protect Jewish people and Jewish people only against a great evil and does not have a purpose beyond that.

That just… doesn’t describe Captain America.

A better description of Captain America is as a leader who initially seems weak and incapable but is revealed, partially through his moral strength, that he is the most capable of any of us. He’s a human being with a heart first and foremost, and a leader second. A tool in someone else’s hands? …not even a little bit.

To explain why I think a better comparison from Jewish history is David, I want to share a quote from Samuel 1 chap 16. This is from when God is telling Samuel to pick the next king, and Samuel resists picking David because of his appearance:

And the Lord said to Samuel, “Look not upon his appearance, or the height of his stature, for I have rejected him, for it is not as man sees, (what is visible) to the eyes, while the Lord sees into the heart.”

I don’t love this translation, but like, it gets the point across. Both David and Steve Rogers are chosen out of a group of physically more impressive men because of the quality of their hearts. David - out of a lineup of his big brothers; Steve - out of the entirety of the Super Soldier program.

Another point of comparison is their role in their stories later on. They prove themselves as military leaders and inspire greatness in others. King David takes over from a failed king and unifies the Israelites; Captain America punches Nazis and leads the Avengers. Either way, similar role in the story.

It’s also important to note that as heroes, they are both super human rather than superhuman. They’re both capable of doing feats that are greater than normal, but not quite literally impossible - in case you were wondering, according to Jewish thought, David is given “superpowers” when he is anointed to be king, which allow him to fight the lion, the bear, and, of course, goliath (this is Maimonides’ Guide to the Perplexed). More importantly however, the reason we might look up to them as heroes or leaders is not limited to physical greatness, but rather moral caliber. Steve is chosen by Dr. Erskine specifically because of his moral caliber, yeah? Same as David getting chosen by God since he can see into his heart? In fact, you can very easily compare and contrast the selection process for being anointed and the anointment itself with the Super Soldier program.

Of course the fact that Dr. Erskine is a Jewish man cannot be ignored. But in this lens, I would compare him not to a Rabbi in Prague, but rather to God seeing into David’s heart, with Colonel Phillips (Tommy Lee Jones in case you don’t remember who I’m talking about lmao) functioning as the skeptical Samuel. Which, idk, feels like a more powerful metaphor.

At the end of the day, I feel like Captain America’s purpose as a symbol and a leader alike gets erased if you view him only as a tool. Especially since Steve’s principles will often make him take off the costume or use it against the institutions it was made by in the first place, like when he became Nomad in the ‘70s.

And listen, the golem of Prague was an iconic figure in Jewish history/mythology. But I feel like it’s unsuited to discussion of any character with agency and their own motivations (although, wildcard, I think Vision might be on the table, I still have to think about this more).

One last note: don’t take this as an endorsement of everything David does nor as me claiming there’s a perfect parallel between every David story and Cap, just that Cap functions, within a Jewish mythological and cultural context, as a military leader and hero similar to David.

Marvel Studios keeps saying “Fuck Jews” with their entire chest once again as if Jews(Bob Kane, Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Joe Simon Jerry Siegel, and Joe Shuster) didnt make this medium from our history, religion, morals and cultural traditions whole cloth

That’s why Moon Knight infuriates me. It was a fun show but it was disgusting because yet again Jews are getting fucked over and left behind.

Egyptians get rep. Dissociative Identity Disorder gets rep. But Jews? Fuck the Jews.

In Moon Knight? Jews are hurtful. Jews are abusive. Jews are something to work through and get past so the hero can move on to something different and better.

Jews - who INVENTED the comic superhero as a concept - get sidelined again even though Moon Knight was supposed to be OUR hero because G-d knows we don’t get Wanda Maximoff or Peter Parker or Kitty Pryde or Ben Grimm and Magneto is a fucking antihero at best and Sony Quicksilver isn’t Jewish at all. But we were supposed to get Moon Knight.

And now the only canonically Jewish woman in marvel is so abusive she caused her son to fracture his psyche and the only religion we see is funerals. That’s our rep. That’s what the writers and directors decided we look like. It’s not intentionally antisemitic but it’s still antisemitic.

So I'm very happy for all the groups who are getting their rep in Marvel. Me being angry doesn’t mean I think you deserve less but Jews are past fucking due and we keep getting ROBBED by comicbook superhero media and when it is OUR FUCKING MEDIUM to begin with and I can not be fully happy for what you get while we Jews deserve more. Specifically because it’s our culture's fucking medium. Jews invented most of the iconic characters, the format, the legendary arcs and the foundational art and yet at every opportunity, we get shafted. More than that we get erased. Idk why Feige hates us but fuck he hates us. It’s starting to look pathological.

Be happy. Be happy when YOUR group get represented. But while you do? Please remember to be vocal about how fucking screwed over Jews - who created this medium you love - are at every fucking turn.

We show up for you. Show up for us.

Second take: I don’t think the MCU dislikes Jews. I think it doesn’t want to deal with real-world religion in any serious way. Outside of the Netflix universe - where Matt’s Catholicism was interesting cultural and devoid of references to Jesus - Marvel has decided, wisely, to stay in its pay grade.

The fact that almost no one has any kind of beliefs kind of bothers me as a viewer because it’s so unrealistic. Seriously - when was the last time you heard a character seriously talk about G-d, or mythology that’s not made up, or discuss the implications of human beings CONSTANTLY encountering things that confirm/deny their religious beliefs? They had to deal with it very, very quickly in Thor by saying the Norse gods were aliens. They did not address it in Moon Knight, where it turns out Egyptian mythology is real and correct and the gods are just around, not doing much, and if you believe in them you will spend eternity in Egyptian heaven or hell because also the eternal soul exists. And that’s all bullshit too, because the Eternals movie confirmed that the universe is ACTUALLY run by a bunch of giant tree people called Celestials who use planets as wombs to birth new Celestials, and everything else is made up. That might lead to some follow-up questions.

Also, how weird would it be if the main characters had profound beliefs, like if the Hulk was suddenly really into Christ? Like during the Snap he found Jesus and now he won’t shut the fuck up about it him, as people who find Jesus sometimes do? Wouldn’t that be super off-putting? But the movie couldn’t make fun of it, like it makes fun of everything else everyone says within the movie world, because it’s a real thing real people believe.

And let’s not talk about how the first Dr. Strange movie had to pull Tibetan Buddhism and Tibet itself right out of the narrative to appease China, which on some level might be for the best, considering how inexcusably wrong Iron Fist got Buddhism. Not just because Iron Fist was white a guy. They got just about everything else about it wrong, too.

When Shang-Chi had to deal with Chinese mythology, it took us to a magic village and man, was it vague on the details. Dragons exist, magic is real, ghosts maybe are real and then there’s something about ancestor worship, but not in the way that ancestor worship actually occurs in China? China is the home of complex religious belief systems (despite decades of Maoism) and none of them made a significant appearance in any dialogue. You didn’t see any statues of Buddha or bodai or the Jade Emperor in those temples. They tore the dogma off that mythological village as best as they could.

I’m FINE with Judaism not showing up too much because I know they will inevitably fuck it up. The one Hasidic Jew to show up in Marvel (in Daredevil season 3) was a mob boss. So yeah, Marc Spector isn’t engaged with his Judaism and didn’t want to sit shiva for his abusive mom. That actually makes a lot of sense. Children of abusive parents have VERY mixed feelings about sitting shiva and going to yiskor every year. The only thing I was offended by was that no one in the Spector family was played by a Jewish actor, but Jewface isn’t really a thing yet, so okay. Didn’t ruin the show for me. (The Israelite god not showing up to kick the ass of the Egyptian pantheon would have been great, though. Would have made the show for me. Or they mentioned Him but were all super scared of Him because He’s a psychopath in the Bible)

I don’t think excluding religion from the MCU is an anti-Semitic decision. I think it’s a pretty wise decision for a mainstream movie franchise that wants to keep the offense minimal - and for some reason, largely restricted to Asian populations that aren’t going to see most of the movies anyway.

You chose to put this on my post. So you made this bordering-on-delusionally-bad take my business.

#1 The MCU absolutely is NOT excluding religion from the MCU

Hawkeye is a whole fucking Christmas show. Where people actively celebrate Christmas. Ya know, a religious holiday- whether cultural Christians want to admit that or not. The joy that comes from engaging in Christianity through Christmas is the GOAL of Hawkeye. It’s the literal opposite of secular the entire show.

And if Ms Marvel skims over the Khans engagement with Islam and paints it in a negative light I will eat my fucking hat. The trailer talks about how Kamala's conflicted, how she's trying to figure out who she is. But! FUCKING BUT.

THAT IS KAMALA PRAYING IN THE TRAILER. Not at a funeral. Not being hurt by her religious family. Just...praying. She's conflicted, as any zoomer is, by the conflict between old and new? But she's still getting to have more than horror shown in her Muslim identity.

Other religions don’t get treated like this.

And to my next point?

#2 Being Jewish is also a culture - and the MCU doesnt treat other cultures this way

Because being Jewish isn’t just a religion it’s a culture and if you want to drag Asians into this, fucking fine, that actually makes it even worse for how Jews get treated. Because there are other CULTURES focused on in the MCU and other cultures don’t get treated like this. Which brings me to point two.

You made this about Asian cultures but if we're not counting Daredevil four the PROFOUND Christianness of Marvel then you absolutely do not get to count Iron Fist. And yeah, Dr. Strange was an orientalist nightmare, no argument here, and bringing up media that has been resoundly renounced for being racist and orientalist as a parallel to the show I'm complaining about isn't helping your argument. But even so, fucking guess what? The thing is that when you don't have One Example everything doesn't hang on One Example. And Asian representation doesn't hinge on Doctor Strange.

And since you brought in Shang Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rigs so lets fucking go there because you're so right, that is absolutely Asian rep! Yes, there's magic. Its a fucking metaphor. Read any of meta that dozens of writers of Asian descent of written about this movie and how WELL THEY FELT ASIAN-AMERICANS(SPECIFICALLY CHINESE-AMERICANS WHICH I'D LOVE TO REMIND YOU IS A CULTURE) WERE PORTRAYED. Chi and Xialing have positive memories of their family both secular and traditional to go with the abuses. The elements of Chinese culture we see in Katie’s family is Loving and supportive and difficult and stressful in turns. There’s contrast between the conflict of the abuse both children suffered at his hands and the love they all still have for each other, the strain of being Chinese-American and the joy and value to be found in a Chinese identity and being Western, both of these of course dramatized through magic and the metaphor of the Jade Emperor. But never the less, it is not all or nothing, one or the other. We get to see sides of an identity. It explores, in depth, what it means to be Asian-American and an immigrant and specifically Chinese-American and SOME OF IT IS GOOD AND SOME OF IT IS BAD. BUT YOU GET TO SEE BOTH. THERE'S BALANCE.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier explored the horrific abuses inflicted on the Black community in what Isaiah Bradley endured and showed the economic difficulties that Black families face through Sam's struggles and showed the community networks and social support and interactions that exist in Black communities through everything wonderful we see in Louisana as Sam's family and friends work together and we see Black empowerment as Sam comes into his own as Captain America and Black kids are inspired by him as a hero and a symbol - in America. It's not the most well constructed show in my opinion but it did try to show Black culture - the hurts and the joys. Because you see, that is ALSO a culture. A lot of it is fucking terrible but a lot of it is fucking wonderful and whether it achieved it or not is for Black fans to decide but it sure did TRY for BALANCE.

There's NONE of that with Moon Knight. There's Marc's Jewish life which amounts to grief, grief, guilt, hurt, and loss.

Which brings me to

#3 The abuse subplot is its own form of antisemitism

As for your argument about conflict around yiskor and shiva? I'm a very religious Jew with an abusive parent. I'm well fucking aware that there's a conflict be. I remember crying to an Orthodox rabbis at 14 years old that I felt like I couldnt fulfill the mitzvot because my father treated me so fucking badly I felt like I couldn't obey the law. Having an Orthodox rabbi tell me that if I needed to honor him from a distance for my own well-being? That was okay, that Hashem wanted me to take care of myself gave me so much peace even if it doesn't help me on Yom Kippur every year and how interesting would it have been if Marc had done something like that at 10/12/15/17 before he walked out? But he didn't. He didn't do anything.

And it wasn't just her funeral. It was his brother's too. There was NO OTHER JEWISH REPRESENTATION. Just as a way to cope with death. Any of those birthdays could have been Shabbos dinner or a Passover seder or any of a dozen small Jewish moments.

More than that?

In the comics? His parents were not abusive. Period. His parents were a fucking holocaust survivor and pacifist. So. The show took a canonically Jewish character and gave him abusive parents and a dead brother because it was too hard to tie his DID to the trauma of having someone he believed to be a Rabbi admired and turn out to be Nazi who was MURDERING JEWS. It is, in fact, fucking antisemitic to take a canonically Jewish character with a canonically Jewish reason for having his psyche fracture and make and make his canonically non-abusive background into an abusive one so that he will be alienated from his Jewishness and his family instead to embrace Egypt...where Marc and Steven were sent to the fucking Sea of Reeds like fucking gentiles instead of letting death be the ephemeral, borderline unknowable concept that it is, or at least having the ride lead them to Sheol, and having Taweret say something like "I'm here to help move you two through until you both get to your afterlife. You know, Judaism." and then having Marc or Steven or both say something like "It's complicated." And I think it's worth noting that in the face of the repeated erasure of elements of Marc's Jewish identity that were FUNDAMENTAL to EVERY PART of his story in favor of the Egyptian centered-story and pantheon that was elevated over and over? That we note that this was RELEASED DURING FUCKING PASSOVER NO LESS.

Speaking of Pesach, I'm kinda stunned about the comment the """"""""Israelite god""""" showing up to the fight because He's a """""psychopath"""""" because that is a beyond fucked up to say to a religious Jew who's raised with the Jewish interpretation of the Tanakh (cuz I'm not sure what Bible you're going off with shit - I hear the goyim've got lots of fun translations full of fun interpretations but thats not what Jews call our book but you know that right?) because 1)that is a fucking gross interpretation that ignores the 13 Attributes of Hashem chief among them Mercy [but you knew that right?] which in the context of Moon Knight The Series would have made much more sense in contrast to the vengeance of Konshu and Ammit and 2)Hashem shouldn't have a physical representation in Judaism any more than Mohammed should be depicted in Islam- but you knew that, right and of course 3) the idea that Hashem is psychopathic/cruel/merciless/shitty/etc in the Torah is a foundational concept of Christosupremacy as to why the New Testament needs to exist, to save us and the world from His Violence and create a new covenant and that to do that would be a perpetuation of that Christocentric propaganda. But you knew that right? Of course you did.

So, tell me again how Disney is not antisemitic? That every aspect of Jewish man who's trauma focused around his desire to protect Jews and a violation of trust by a Nazi masquerading as a rabbi, repurposed into abuse by a canonically loving mother finding his purpose in Egyptian gods with NO positive or rewarding grounding in Jewishness at ALL getting released DURING PASSOVER which commemorates Jews specifically removing themselves from Egypt? They couldnt have scheduled that release ANY other time? Really? Fucking please.

Right. Because you don't want to see Jewishness if it's done "wrong."

Only thing is? ERASURE IS ANTISEMITISM.

Antisemitism as a form of violence THRIVES because the Church(TM) has spent almost 2000 years intentionally erasing, mystifying, othering and generally making us seem like we don't fucking exist or that we are just Christianity lite.

But we're not. We are independent. We have our own book, our own law, our own way to love and our own way to fuck, we have our own concept of what is important about life and what it means to die. We have our own understanding of the eternal and the moral. We don't fucking need the Christians and we don't need the Muslims. We exist just fine all by ourselves. We exist HAPPILY. We exist JOYFULLY.

Moon Knight did not GIVE US that. Even though the value of Jewishness is intrinsic to who Marc Spector is.

And that matters because

#4 A pair of funerals alone wouldn't be antisemitic but it isn't alone in Marvel Studios transgressions

It was 2 funerals and no positive Jewish rep. It's the erasure of his entire history. It's the erasure of supportive parents. It's the erasure of the profound importance of his Judaism on the root of his trauma. It's tying the only depictions of Jewish culture and religion to intense pain, grief, loss, and intense verbal abuse. It's sending a Jewish man to the Egyptian afterlife. It's the timing of releasing this Egyptian>Jewish content during Passover specifically.

It's all of this on top of the fucking Maximoff twins Judaism being completely erased. It's all of this on top of the Maximof twins being Nazis. The erased the heritage of made the twins, took away the history of children of a Jewish holocaust survivor and Romani woman, so that they could turn them into Nazis. It's about basing Peggy Carter on a Nazi character from the comics instead of the actual comics. It's about elevating Arnim fucking Zola, a fucking Nazi, to universe-saving hero status in the Marvel What If..? It's having the Red Skull be the guardian of the soul stone instead of LITERALLY ANY OTHER CHARACTER including one that could have been meaningful in any way to any of the characters. It's Marvel Studios about choosing, purposefully, to center Nazi in their stories sympathetically when given the chance when Marvel Comics was CREATED by Jewish men who literally bled fighting Nazis who wiped 1/3 of their people off the planet over and over when they could just....uh....not? When we get Jewish pain as the only thing that defines a sidelined Jewish identity and all other hints of Jewishness erased and pushed back so that Nazis can get more time and attention? That's fucking antisemitic.

Marvel Studios do this confidently, without shame, over and over, WHEN JEWS CREATED THESE CHARACTERS. So they're not just being antiJewish in the face of the characters, they're being antiJewish in the face of the creators as well which was the POINT OF MY ORIGINAL POST.

Marvel Studios is fucking antisemitic because everything they do has been to go out of their way to villianize, minimize, silence, or erase Jewish culture, identity, and religion from the creators and the characters. And they do it EVERY CHANCE THEY GET to Jews specifically. And only to Jews.

Period.

So in closing if you read all of this and still think that Moon Knight isnt the latest in a long line in a string of acts of Marvel Studio antisemitism?
