A little 6x03 note: Karofsky lurks
(Disclaimer: This post is mostly about Kurt's POV, so may read as unfriendly to Dave. My overall feelings are : it's complicated, but I think Kurt's still got trauma, and while I think Blaine may be finding an easy rest stop with Dave, who's a much healthier person now, and I respect Blaine's choices for himself while he puts his life back together, I'm not on board the Blainofsky love & fluff train. I'm interested in the story, but I don't ship it. YMMV.)
Anyway, I still want to talk about the scene in Scandals and how wonderfully & painfully portrayed Kurt's trauma was there (with what read like a dissociative episode to me), but I haven't got my marbles all together yet. I did want to go ahead and talk about this bit from "Jagged Little Tapestry".
In the opening scene in the music shop? After Blaine catches Kurt's attention with his, "I know, it's like a show choir hate crime," the camera angle goes perpendicular to how they're oriented toward each other before it goes back to Kurt's POV looking at Blaine. For an instant, for us and for Kurt, it looks like an olive branch and an opportunity to talk.
Alas.
Below the cut: some talk about Kurt's trauma with a callback to "Furt".
