I do have a little smutty notion for a scene between them, of Blaine's parents being out, and Kurt opening a bottle of wine (and scandalizing Blaine a little bit with his (foreign exchange student from France) boldness at raiding the Anderson's wine cellar) and then asking Blaine if he has any good porn they can watch, and Blaine is all O.O and *_*, so they do that, and Kurt ends up giving Blaine his first blow job, lying there on the living room floor, while Blaine's feeling all whirly and warm and light and wonderful and Kurt's really good and enthusiastic and Blaine kind of falls in love with him while his dick is in Kurt's mouth. *ahem* I don't really have an innocence kink so much as I have a sexually confident Kurt kink? IDK.
@multicorn: I am so so happy Blaine felt like Blaine! I was worried about that. Characterisation is always the thing I worry about most, and since I don't write a lot of Blaine from inside Blaine, I'm just really happy he works in this, short though it is. :) I am delighted you are delighted! <3

Pairing/Characters: Kurt/Blaine, Burt Genre: Angst/Erotica Rating: MA/NC-17 Warnings: sex, angst, broken relationship, (discussions of) cancer and infidelity Word count: ~24,000 Summary: There’s little about Christmas this year that Kurt would choose. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. Set over episode 4x10 “Glee Actually”. Notes: This fic was born while pondering the notion some of us had after “I Do” that Blaine and Kurt may have slept together over Christmas. This story explores that idea and builds upon my head canon from In the World of Silence but it should stand alone just fine. Title from the lyrics to Tears for Fears “Break it Down Again”. Extra large thank you’s to Calliopeoracle, Odd (asecondgrace), and Corinna for taking critical looks at the early, messy draft and encouraging me onwards, and to Sheryl (airy_nothing), for supporting me through the whole creative process, poking the story in all the right parts as it expanded, and the final beta reading. This story would still be languishing if not for their valuable input. Any remaining flaws are not due to their diligence.

How do I begin with this piece? It’s written during a time in Kurt and Blaine’s relationship that’s wrought with pain. There’s no getting around that. And I’ll be honest here—going back *there* as a reader, was always difficult for me. Remember all the reaction fics to that episode? I read quite a few, and often felt torn apart myself by the end of them. Or felt that somehow, whatever happened wasn’t quite *right*—and neither was the Kurt, or the Blaine. Or the them.
This story gets it perfect.
In fact what’s amazing about it is that, you know, time has passed—for us, the viewers and readers. This story explores the boys’ lives with the knowledge of their future (of “I Do” and more) and for the first time I can recall in a work centered around this episode, thoroughly accounts for the Kurt and Blaine we see in “I Do.”
I wish I could find words to express how exquisitely detailed this is, both in terms of settings and scenes but emotionally. But what I want to say is that there is incredible balance regarding the latter, which is, in that difficult moment for our boys, the most delicate thing. I know Sally warns for angst, and yes, that’s here, but what makes this piece so incredible is the way she sets warmth and connection and humor on the other side of the scale.

Sheryl, you've left me verklempt. This is everything I hoped to achieve with the story. I'm so grateful to have succeeded (and thank you again for your help with this one <3). Gosh. I'm especially pleased the story does work so well in terms of consistency with what's yet to come, and that the boys felt like properly like themselves and like, as you say, them. :)

Thank you! I was wondering if leaving the sex as Shrodinger's Sex Scene might've been a bit much of a tease, but I thought it'd be fun for readers to be able to imagine various, diverse outcomes. :) Which isn't to say I won't add a bit more. I'm still intrigued.
