Fic: Reindeer Games (Kurt/Cody, NC-17)
Summary: Written for the gkm prompt “Instead of saying no, Kurt agrees to roleplay as Rudolph to Cody’s Santa.” Go to the link to read the full prompt. This is a fix-it fic for Kurt’s storyline in 5.08, “A Previously Unaired Christmas.” I wanted Kurt to have awesome, indulgent, strings-free sex—something that would build him up rather than tear him down. So everything in here in consensual, no one is drunk or gets drugged, and nothing gets stolen from the loft. And Cody (aka Sexy Claus) is a guy who enjoys dicking people, not dicking people over. ~7,500 words of pure porn.

Wow, you had me at terrible Yuletide puns. Seriously this is so fun and hot and kinda silly-but-also-sincere, and everything is so very, very consensual, and Cody is pretty sweet with Kurt all up, which makes this such a happy kind of AU of an AU, and all of that sweetness and enthusiastic consent is--to me--also very hot.
And all the stuff with Rachel and Santana near the end. FUN, and just the right amount of solstice magic maybe. I love Christmas in September.

Santana's already planning to do something to try to psyche Rachel out? Or manipulate her? The twirling spiral made me think of the whole hypnosis by spinning spiral thing. (I'm not sure that reading goes with the song, though.)

The storyline isn't over yet, but Santana's dress in "Brave" was black and gold.
OH, good catch! That's very interesting! Given that was a dream sequence, too, I wonder how much it speaks to her motivation in auditioning, knowing it was going to lose her fledgling friendship with Rachel but going for it anyway because she needed a win for her own morale, even though, as I understand it (though Glee world does things its own way) she likely won't see the stage as Rachel's understudy, so won't get that star recognition, but she'll still get to do the work. (PR plans of director guy aside because she wasn't anticipating that I don't think?)
I feel like I may need to rewatch "Lights Out". I don't have a great handle on Santana and her relationship to making art.
Since I've been looking at set dressing, what in the heck is this weird penguin (is it a candle?) in a bell jar surrounded by gumballs? Marbles? Rubber balls? This is stranger than the jackalope jewelry holder and the gold banana combined. The set dressers moved it to be more visible in the second shot.
