After the cannonical events of the catacombs, Sebastian realizes how badly he fucked up and how much he hurt Ominis and their relationship in the process, so he desperately tries to plea for his forgiveness.
Ominis is so angry and heartbroken that he only wishes to forget and let go of Sebastian, allowing him to fade into the unforgiving darkness that surrounds him.
