What if one day, Marinette lost Alya to the akuma she was fighting. Lately Hawk Moth’s akumatized victims are getting stronger and much more deadly, and some civilians have been hurt badly because of them. So one day, Ladybug and Chat Noir are fighting the latest victim who is the toughest one they have to beat. Alya is there trying to get videos and pictures for her blog and Marinette notices her there and knows she could get hurt. She turns her attention to Alya and ignores the akuma for the time being. The akuma notices that Ladybug is going for Alya and get to her before Ladybug does and kills her so Ladybug can focus on her. Ladybug of course just sees Alya get hurt, not knowing she’s dead and she screams out and tries to go to her friend but the akuma stops her so Ladybug beats the shit out of the akuma and hurried to Alya but she’s not breathing and so Marinette uses her spell to clean up the mess but it doesn’t work on people and Marinette is just a mess and can’t handle it and Alya is now gone and this is just how I imagined things happening a little after Alya’s death…
Marinette stood at the top of the tallest building in Paris that she could find. She looked down through her mask at how far the ground was, tears steaming down from her cheeks. “Tikki spots off..” She barely managed to get out do to the fact that her voice was so hoarse. Marinette had been crying ever since the day she lost Alya. Tikki came flying out of her earrings and looked at Marinette horrified. “Marinette, what are we doing up here, it’s not safe!” Tikki spoke out seeing how high up they were. “Tikki I can’t do this anymore, I can’t live…knowing I’m the reason..Alya..is dead.” Marinette tried to tell her tiny friend but it ended up coming out in heavy sobs. Tikki flew close to Marinette. “Marinette I know you’re upset but you can’t do this, you know how many people would be heart broken about this? Your family? Your friends? Even Chat. They’ve already lost someone..we don’t need to lose anyone else.” Tikki tried to calm the weeping mess before her. Marinette wiped her head up in both sadness and anger. “I’M THE REASON SHE’S DEAD TIKKI!! MY BEST FRIEND DIED BECAUSE I WASN’T ABLE TO SAVE HER! I CAN’T LIVE WITH THIS ANYMORE!” Marinette shouted at her kwami, scaring the poor thing. Marinette didn’t want to hear anything else from Tikki, nothing she could do or say would change her mind. Quickly Marinette took out her earrings and before Tikki could and talk her out of this, and Tikki disappeared. Marinette stood up, though it was hard, since she felt like the guilt she was carrying actually weighed her down. She shoved her earrings in her pocket and took a deep breath before looking down at the street below, and leaned forward.
Out of the corner of Adrien’s eye he saw his Lady running across the rooftops. He was quick to look to where she was going but he had seen no signs of an akuma attack. ‘Why is Ladybug just running around..maybe I should follow her..’ Adrien thought to himself, and hurried to find somewhere to transform. He gave Nino an excuse about some fashion shoot he had to be at and hurried off without another word. Adrien rushed down the first alley way he could find and let Plagg out of his shirt. “Dude, before that stupid fashion shoot, can we get some cheese?” Plagg asked, not caring about what Adrien had to do, as usual. “Not now, Plagg, claws out!!” Adrien shouted and Plagg groaned before getting sucked into the ring. As soon as he was done transforming, Chat jumped from building to building to find his beloved Ladybug and see what she was up to. Maybe she was just patrolling the city but they haven’t done that since the incident with the last akuma. Ladybug seemed torn after what had happened. No..not torn..she looked shattered. This was the first time an akuma had actually killed someone but the way Ladybug reacted, Chat couldn’t help think that they had a very close connection. Maybe Ladybug had known Alya outside of the mask. Chat shook the thought from his head and continuing running along the rooftops. As he looked around he couldn’t see any signs of Ladybug…but he did see Marinette high up on a building. “Marinette? What is she doing ther-..” Before Chat could finish his sentence he saw Marinette fall from on top of the building. Chat yelled at her in terror and ran faster then he can ever ran before towards her and just caught her ten feet before she hit the ground and brought her to the top of a shorter building. “Princess?! Are you okay?! What were you doing up there?! You almost got hurt really badly!” Chat rambled out, extremely worried. He cared a lot about Marinette, not just as Chat but as Adrien too. She was one of his only friends and he did have feelings for her. Marinette shoved Chat harshly away from her. “You stupid cat! Why’d you catch me!” She shrieked at Chat, startling him a bit. “If I hadn’t you could’ve…” “Died?! Yeah I know I wanted to die Chat!” Marinette raged at him in anger, tears rolling down her cheeks even more then they already were. That’s when Marinette broke down and fell to her knees, sobbing uncontrollably into her hands. “Princess…why would you ever want that..?” Chat asked, embracing his princess close to him. Marinette didn’t push him away this time, this time she let him hug her and she fell into him, crying into his chest. “I let my best friend Alya die Chat…I couldn’t save her..I couldn’t do anything..I..” Marinette couldn’t finish, she had broken into tears once again. Chat rubbed her back gently, trying to calm her. “Princess…you can’t blame yourself for this, there’s nothing you could’ve done, I know you lost someone very important to you..but this isn’t the answer. We already lost one angel, we can’t lose another..everyone needs you here Marinette, your family, your friends, even me…I need you here princess, I’d be heartbroken if you left me.” Chat mumbled everything he said against her hair. Marinette sniffed back her tears and looked up at Chat. “Would you really be that upset if I was gone Chat…” Marinette asked, seeming shocked. She didn’t think that Chat cared about her that much. It sounded like something he would’ve said to Ladybug, not her. “Yes princess I would…” Chat says in a quiet soothing voice. Marinette looks up into his bright green eyes, tears once again about to pour from her blue ones. Chat brought his hand from Marinette’s back to her cheek and leaned in, brushing his lips against hers. “Don’t leave me princess.” Chat whispered before pushing his lips against hers, with Marinette accepting his kiss. His lips felt warm on hers, though she did pull away first. Marinette looked at him and whispered. “I promise Chaton…”
