[Image description: a digital comic done in white, blue, and red. We see a person bending down to greet a white cat, saying, “Hello baby cat!” The cat meows as it walks up to them. Suddenly, a cat sitting atop a cat tree notices the other cat sniffing the person’s hand. They jump down from the tree, onto a table, onto a couch’s armrest, over the back of the couch, onto the other armrest, and finally makes it to the ground with a ‘thup!’ They sniff the person’s hand vigorously, and the person says, “Hello to you too!” End image description]

Which articles did you read??
Speaking to No One: Broadcasting on social media is less about communication than making you the audience to yourself
Social media as masochism: Using social media can be a masochistic means of escaping the self
Social Media Is Not Self-Expression: Self-expression is the internalization of social authority, not the externalization of a “true identity”
Girls that wait until the hype dies down around a piece of media before consuming it >>>> love being years late to pop culture trends.
RE: my last reblog “society takes a bizarre amount of pleasure in mocking things women and girls enjoy and that should stop,” and “something being enjoyed by women and girls doesn’t mean it’s above criticism,” are two statements that should be able to co-exist.
Unfriendly reminder this Black History Month that non-Black sapphics CANNOT be studs. That label is reserved for Black sapphics only.
I swear this is something that bothers me so much. Butch has been around for decades and applies to white masc sapphics. Just use butch. If you don't like that, say masc. It's important to remember that sometimes you're not the intended audience and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Words are important and have a cultural context which shouldn't be ignored because it's more convenient for you to disrespect a marginalized community than it is to work on yourself.
Honestly, as an aro who experiences intense platonic love, I’ll always credit loveless aros for helping me come to terms with my aromanticism. Believing being aro was ok because I loved my friends was internalised arophobia on my part and I’m beyond grateful to loveless aros for showing me that my aromanticism is not something that needs other forms of love to make up for it.
i don’t think earrings needs to match. i think wearing mismatched earrings on purpose is fun and sexy
