Following the defeat of the Netherbrain, Penelope and Minthara wage war against the ruling houses of Menzoberranzan, freeing the city from the oppressive rule of Lolth. Though some rebels have held out in the tunnels of the Underdark and occasionally attack, most of the Underdark’s biggest city is under the newly appointed rule of their queens - who have taken over the old Baenre compound.

Despite her protestations to the contrary, it is clear that Minthara is afraid.
ok yeah at first i was a bit hmmhmhmm about the epilogue showing that going to the underdark with minthara is the "bad ending" (though not really, theres just some doubts coming from your character) but it fits so well. minthara and penny fight a lot in the days after defeating the netherbrain about where they should go. to the point where both switch their opinion multiple times and argue from both sides against each other lmao. its the biggest fights they probably will ever have. and it IS the much harder choice, and it would probably be good for both of them to just leave that behind. but they have to close up loose ends of their past and if they didnt do it they would regret it to the end of their lives. even if its hard.
penny and minthara after taking over the underdark. huge glowing statue of them in the middle of town where narbondel used to be. minthara takes over the military/defense/logistic side. penny takes over culture/society/diplomacy. they do propaganda together <3. minthara represents that the drow don't have to follow any god anymore while penny talks her down from prosecuting every gods worshipper lmfao, they agree on only killing lolth worshippers. penny as leader of the new underdark eilistraee followers.
