You might hold off, apparently tumblr’s auto DMCA bot is glitching.
Yeah, I've heard that - while it's likely just a dumb glitch, I'm still not sure I trust Tumblr to not someday glitch and go "hey, delete these blogs! they're repeat offenders!" And, well, I'm too lazy to go back through three and a half years of posts and find all the content that might possibly look like copyright infringement to someone.
(Also, I just like the new name better. :))
Anyway - reminder for the morning/different time zones crowd, I'm moving myself over to shadowedhills. Come follow me there!
Short story: today I got an email from Tumblr about how I've had too many DMCA copyright violations on my account, and that if I have another one, they'll delete my entire blog. Which is odd, given that I've only gotten two notices in the four years I've been here, and I've deleted the requested content each time. Now, Tumblr says this might be a glitch in their system, but I don't think I'm in the mood to stick around and see what happens. What if I wake up one morning and this whole account is gone, because someone searched for a song I uploaded for streaming three years ago?
The upshot is - I'm moving to a new Tumblr home! I have an account I created a couple of months ago, and was considering moving permanently to eventually. I'm just going to consider today "eventually."
I follow enough people/have enough followers that trying to replicate my current list on my own would be impossible. So, while I'll be working on refollowing people slowly, I ask you to come over and follow me first, to make my life easier! You know, if you still want to hear all about fake dragons and video games and my mental health.
Blah blah ... the point is, go follow shadowedhills. That's where I'll be hanging out from now on!
