imagine running on the pavement wearing a leather jacket, when you see a hot guy/girl you wanna impress, you suddenly strip down your jacket so your shoulders are exposed, and you whip your head back to stare at them sexily through your lashes, while running on the spot all this while... 

a theory on run (no one dies)

After watching this I feel like the whole plot is actually pretty simple. I don’t think anyone died??? Idk.

It's basically separated into 3 different periods, if you look at their outfits carefully - when they were all together, when they somehow broke up, and finally after they make up and become a group again.The MV is confusing only because they interpose clips from different time periods to show the contrast(or to make us pull our hair out in frustration).

So at the start we see clips of their friendships, not only when they're partying altogether, but also the closer bonds, like taehyung and namjoon, jhope and jimin.

Then later things start to go awry, and we see namjoon sitting by himself in the container they used to party in, jungkook and yoongi falling out, jhope all alone. I think this is where the I NEED U sequence comes in. Also, remember taehyung saying "hyung I want to see you"? I think this is during then too.

Finally things get better, and we see the scene in the field, where each of them appear to be alone, but then the camera pans out to show they're actually together. From there on is the scene where they make trouble like the old times again.

Also, taehyung falling into the water at the start symbolises them drowning without each other, and at the end he comes out of the water because they're back together. Also the same reason we see jungkook's smile at the end in the face of an oncoming car, like the scene in I NEED U when it seemed he was going to get knocked down.

I think the message is really simple, that they run forward happily when they're altogether, but they're no good alone, which is why there are scenes of them running alone but showing frustration:)
