i feel like wonder woman could get away with throwing batman over her shoulder to carry him away exactly once, just because she would have the element of surprise. batman prepares for everything but there are limits. if you were batman would you ever in a million years expect a woman who is two inches shorter than you in one-inch heels to just pick you up and leave like she’s carrying a bag of sand to build a wall. like you are the victim of a cartoon caveman from the fifties. i postulate that you would not. maybe in her arms like a lumberjack’s bride, but a fireman’s carry? while he is not only conscious, but entirely capable of moving under his own power? this is the one scenario that batman never prepared for and he suffers the consequences. she could never get away with it again and so she doesn’t even try but from that moment on the possibility is always in the back of his mind. he is on alert. he wants her to try again so he can prove it won’t work this time. she never gives him the satisfaction. he can never explain to anyone how he is suffering. no one will understand. he stands on a rooftop in the rain and broods.
I love this?

That awkward moment when you can’t tell whether he’s being serious or not.
His sense of humor comes out at the oddest times, bless his heart.
WW’s reaction to that is gold.
Favorite Ships and Duos: Batman/Bruce Wayne and Wonder Woman/Princess Diana (Justice League/Unlimited/BMSM:A)
My first otp :’)
Minor query/ In your ideal Wonderbat world, what would Diana make of the Bat Family?
Oh, she likes the Robins she’s met in the comics if I’m not mistaken. I think her favorite would probably be Dick, though, because he’s just so blasted charming. I think Tim would be too nervous to speak to her, but she’d get him to warm up. She would have a lot of problems with the current Jason Todd/Red Hood, but I think she’d tolerate him, maybe smack him around a bit. She and Alfred get along famously, and she’d adore Barbara and Cassandra.
Damian? Yeeeeeah, she’d probably spank that little brat. He’d deserve it, though.
Have you ever shipped two fictional characters so much that you literally just dont understand how someone could not ship them
Dresden and Murph.
Batman and Wonder Woman
So did you start shipping Batman and Wonder Woman before the Justice League show or after? For me it was after.
Sigh.
My babies.
My stupid impossible babies.
Just look at them:
Yeah, JL/JLU brought me on board to the WonderBats ship. I’ve been happily floating along and no goddamn New 52 bullshit is ever going to change it.
I fully understand that this Wonder Woman is a lot more light-hearted than her comic book counterpart, but I personally adore how they wrote Diana in this series. She’s so likable and charming that it makes perfect sense that Bruce was naturally drawn to her. What has kept me shipping this since I was a kid is the fact that they are such a good match.
She’s so powerful and elegant and bold that it makes him notice her and respect her, and she sees through his mask of feigned indifference. She knows that he acts so cold and cruel in order to protect people and that the things he does are out of obligation and a deep need to be a fighter for those who can’t defend themselves. I love that she won’t take any of his shit when he tries to push her away, and I love that he can’t resist flirting with her or being near her when the chance presents itself.
For instance, I really love “Twilight of the Gods” because you actually see Bruce letting his guard down just a tad around Diana, like holding her hand and helping her up when she got hit, or actually making a couple of jokes (”I’m gonna need a longer grapple” and “The next time I let Superman take charge, just hit me real hard!”)
Or the fact that the writers realized how good their chemistry was (mad props to Kevin Conroy and Susan Eisenberg!) and set an entire couple of episodes around them because they’re such an enjoyable couple. I lament that Bruce canonically ends up alone, but I always have a headcanon that they did pursue a relationship at some point before Batman Beyond. They have way too much chemistry not to, in some form or another.
…I mean, did you SEE how he was petting her in “This Little Piggy”? There are people in Bruce’s personal life he doesn’t treat that tenderly.
*dreamy sigh* WonderBats for life.
Is it crazy that I know all the lines of this scene?
No. I know the lines of this scene and can flawlessly recite the part where GL and Bats talk about Diana. Complete with accents and all.
