And I understand. I understand why people hold hands: I’d always thought it was about possessiveness, saying ‘This is mine’. But it’s about maintaining contact. It is about speaking without words. It is about I want you with me and don’t go.

Philinda + Shutting Each Other Up
i’m pretty sure coulson shooting his shot with may while they’re literally being shot at by aliens is the smoothest move in the entire marvel cinematic universe
i’ve been laughing at coulson’s reaction to may’s confession since friday night and honestly i don’t know if i’ll ever stop laughing about it
this is the face of a man who knows his crush is out of his league and has no idea how to process the fact that she likes him back
this is the face of a man who never thought he’d get this far and has no idea what to do now that he’s here
this is the exact same expression as that golden retriever that caught its own tail
It is the ultimate "senpai noticed me" moment and I am so here for it.
After 5 damn seasons… FINALLY
Melinda May’s Confessions + Phil Coulson’s Reactions 4x05 | 5x17
You don’t get to make that decision alone. That decision is made with the people who love you. And that’s me.
I didn’t fall in love with you. I walked into love with you, with my eyes wide open, choosing to take every step along the way. I do believe in fate and destiny, but I also believe we are only fated to do the things that we’d choose anyway. ― Kiersten White, The Chaos of Stars
melinda may + calling phil coulson cute
get to know me meme: five ships [2/5]
↳ melinda may + phil coulson (agents of s.h.i.e.l.d.)
So I don't watch Agents of Shield. Do they ever talk about that chest wound Loki gave Phil? Has Linda seen it?
Yes and no? For example, in the first season, we actually see it directly and Melinda May has this incredibly touching scene talking about Phil’s resurrection, and it was basically the exact second I started shipping Philinda.
It’s one of the only well-acted scenes in the entire show. Clark and Ming have some amazing acting chops and they truly bring it when they’re on screen together.
However, aside from that scene, no, his scar isn’t brought up a lot, though they do have a whole arc based around how he came back from the dead and the repercussions of Director Fury bringing him back. It was pretty messed up what they did to him, but Phil’s a hell of a man and you can kind of understand why they did it. He’s Secret Agent Dad and pretty endearing as a leader.
