anyway you're so right to point out a dojo!! i can't recall if the old lair had a dedicated space for a dojo or not (head empty, i apologize). not that the turtles took training that seriously back then, huh. (i don't know if i'd count the old garage as a dojo, personally)
post-movie, you'd think they'd be more determined to train train. so a dedicated space for a dojo would very much feel like smth that they'd want to add in.
i'd place the dojo either close to the garage (not part of the garage but have its own area) or on the highlighted spot on the previously uploaded subway layout you can see here:
i like to think the highlighted space used to be one of those areas where you have to pay to get in/out of the subway so it'd be a fairly open space. maybe they'd eventually have tatami mats and all that installed to make the dojo more traditional. imagine it looking close to splinter's old dojos that we got to see in the series (fists of furry).
i'm generally not too sold on all the paths and all that even to this day but the general locations of the different areas feels okay-ish. though, feel free to swap anything around to your liking.

You're probably tired of people asking about the new lair, but where do you think the other entrance into the lair is? The one we see toward the beginning of the movie and where Sister Krang comes in
not at all tired when it comes to the lair, no worries!
though, i haven't done nearly enough research as to how many different entrances a subway would have - both civil and maintenance. PLUS there's the sewer connection that you see in the movie, yes! i don't believe the precise location of the sewer door thing was ever shown in the final cut/storyboards? (as far as i know anyway! i could be wrong)
anyway, yea there are a lot of possible entries:
1) sewer entrance as seen in the movie
2) following the tracks / the path the escape pods took (latter takes you to donnie's lab)
3) stairs to the surface (the stairs that would have directly lead to the lair are most likely not in use for safety reasons. you'd instead have to use another station's stairs to enter the underground and then from there make their way to the lair)
4) garage / whatever path they take when going out with the turtle tank
though, i'm starting to think if part of their lair is still in the sewers. like if the garage for example was located within the sewer tunnels instead of an underground station... who knows!!
i apologize, i don't think i really answered your question much but i do hope this helps a little bit!
#again. i gotta do a lot more research on how underground systems work to better understand them#though i'm sure it's okay however you choose to have your layout#like think back to the old lair right? that thing had so many weird spaces that would be added when and if the story required it#kind of a spaghetti monster of a place just spreading further and further out as the story progressed#so if there's smth you want to have featured in the lair. you can just kinda build it in#that's what i try to remind myself anyway... to avoid taking the lair layout too seriously wfawefawef#miiukkask

though, i've been working on mikey's room on the side little by little!! i haven't really thought about the other rooms at all as i like to focus on one thing at a time when it comes to stuff like this; stuff in which you ought to analyze the characters and kind of get in their shoes :)

To make sure that you get credited as efficiently as possible because the layout you have is amazing and deserves every ounce of credit in creative projects inspired by it.

just want you to know that your lair layout references are a godsend. im doing a longform comic/fic for rise, and while i can draw backgrounds i am *awful* at visualizing layouts initially. i had resigned to making a 3d model of leo's room from scratch because the screenshots were hard to work from, but your art of each room is SO clean and makes it really easy to visualize in a 3d space!! ty so much for sharing them :D

Hello there, since you did a post about where the bathrooms would be in the lair, what do you think the bathrooms would look like if you were to go in there? Is there a lot of space? Are their stalls or just plain toilets? Are there sinks big enough to hold various dental hygiene supplies and soap as well as a shower and a bathtub combined? scibbled some notes and hurriedly drew a little smth to help visualize what the bathroom might look like!
in my mind, one room would be about 4 stalls, which you can imagine is an ok-sized room; not overly big nor small. you could easily customize the room to your liking as long as you take the plumbing into consideration since moving that around is super annoying and tedious!!
(imagine there's one bathroom that the family avoids like the plague since there's a weird, mysterious dark spot in one of the corners that does NOT clean off. "wait, wait don't go to that room!! it's....cursed..." huh?? what do you MEAN it's cursed? you enter and there's an ominous black hole that somehow distorts your view, unwaters your crops and gives you a headache just by looking at it. yea i think that'd make a fun episode.)
