Hey ppl that know stuff about dnd, are monsters living in the ocean/water more likely to be resistant to fire damage or cold damage? Or is both a shitty idea?
Did any of you write a paper about Critical Role or ttrpg in general or know of someone who did?
Im thinking about writing my BA thesis about Critical Role and I would love to get some insight in how other ppl format it and stuff
I made a blog where you can request playlists!!
Go request something at @replaylist
If you want examples/reactions to ones I already made, check out my dnd playlists tag :)
if you're still doing the dnd character playlists!
my current character was, until yesterday, a neutral good tiefling cleric (light domain). she grew up pretty sheltered in a well-off merchant household, and ended up leaving home to get away from her loving but overprotective family. found a new religion, stopped keeping in touch, yada yada. she'd been gone for years when her hometown got dragged to hell because of a decades-old pact with an archdevil, and now she's on a mission with some friends to save the city.
there's been a lot of decreasingly reluctant bargaining with devils, and the whole party might be sliding away from their initial "good" alignment. also a lot of hijinks involving enchanted items with d100 random effects tables
(i say she was a tiefling cleric because last night she ate an enchanted fruit on a whim and. now she's a kenku.)

Fairytale-dnd-characters?
How old is that Idea?
But Like. Red-haired ranger with a Wolf-Buddy! Black-haired girl raised by dwarfs with necromancer-magic bc she was cursed by her stepmother? A fighter growing up in Isolation, using her hair as a whip-like weapon? A rogue that gets cursed to be as small as a thumb, but she just gets even sneakier? An artificer who can spin his own gold to pay for material? Two sisters, rangers, but their beasts, a bear and a bird, are secretly cursed humans, and their nemesis who cursed them, a gnome? A druid focussed on weather-magic? A warlock who's patron just wants to see the world get better so when she does something selfless she gets new powers, she dreams of stars..... possibilities!
