All right, I love Elena, always have. She’s beautiful and driven and compassionate and she’s going to be an incredible woman one day. But I gotta say, I’m finding it increasingly difficult to want Stefan to choose her.

Look at those two stunning women above. Now if I were Stefan and I had the pleasure of being acquainted with those two blonde beauties, I’m not sure Elena’s dark complexion and exotic features would still thrill me in the same way. Granted, I’ve got a thing for blondes. And to deny that Elena, or even Katherine in sexy 20’s clothes, is gorgeous would be silly. But I’m not just referring to looks here. 

What I’m really talking about here is a meshing of personalities. Stefan can be so brooding and pensive, even on human blood. He’s all about control and morality. Elena shares a lot of those qualities. She expects the best of people and she’s just as thoughtful as Stefan. So I think that’s why they both need someone who differs a bit more from their own personalities.

I think Stefan needs someone who helps him lighten up and reminds him that he’s allowed to live a happy life despite his past. Caroline would certainly be a brilliant choice in that respect. They always seem to have so much fun together and there’s definitely a base of respect and caring to their relationship. They also share a deep sense of empathy. They are both driven by their love and concern for others so there’s just enough in common in their personalities. Plus they have some great chemistry. Like whoa. Now I love nothing more than Tyler and Caroline so I don’t EVER want to see them break up, but the sad fact is Tyler is not immortal. Maybe the writers will find a loophole some day, but if they don’t Caroline has a long, lonely eternity ahead of her. An eternity Stefan will probably share if Elena chooses to stay mortal. Two people can only stay friends and depend on each other for so long before something sparks.

And what of Rebekah? I was entirely enchanted by the chemistry between her and Stefan. There’s the potential for so much passion there. She’s such a firecracker, yet I don’t think she’s as dangerous and spiteful as Klaus. She seemed to genuinely love Stefan and I think she could be convinced to stop hurting people if it meant she could keep Stefan. Stefan clearly felt something for her when Klaus gave him back his memories.

Speaking of passion, I’m also not entirely convinced that he shouldn’t choose Katherine. He was his first love and in terms of just looks, she obviously resembles Elena. Their interactions are so fiery and like Rebekah, I think she’d change if it meant she could have Stefan.

I don’t know where all of this came from, but I just thought I’d throw this out there to maybe get a discussion going. I’d love to hear what other people think.

I detest pet names, first of all, and second of all, I HATE Sam acting all cutesy. That’s not her. Sam is blunt and rude but kind and loyal. She’s either your best friend or your worst enemy, and in Freddie’s case, she’s both.

Sam saying calling Freddie ‘baby’, and freaking out just because someone gave him a B, and being all sweet and gentle with him - that’s not Sam. That’s not a girl in love. Contrary to popular belief, falling in love doesn’t make you all sweet and cutesy whenever the person is around. Being in love is being yourself. If wanted sweet and cutesy, I would support Creddie. But I don’t. Because I want a relationship that’s real, that keeps each other on their toes, that fight over IMPORTANT stuff, or just playful arguing, that treat each other the same as they did before they were dating. 

I’m going to wait, and pray, that this…fakeness that is currently Sam and Freddie’s relationship won’t last. Because if it does, that’s a damn shame, because Dan could’ve done so much more with their relationship. I’m just really afraid that it won’t change, because I don’t remember Josh and Mindy ever getting over their ‘cutesy’ phase, but then again I was never into Drake and Josh for anything other than the comedy and Drake Bell being a sexy beast.

Well I know what you mean when you say that her calling him “baby” seemed out of character. BUT if I remember correctly, she also called Jonah and Cort “baby.” I’m guessing that’s some type of pet name for guys that she really likes. And in this case Freddie happens to be one of them.

So no, I don’t really think it’s out of character for her to call him “baby”, and of course they’re not going to be all sweet and cute with each other. We’ve already seen in the promos how they continue bickering like always..The only difference is that they make out after they’re done fighting. Which honestly I’m not complaining. ;)
