Warnings: None. No smut in this chapter but it’s coming!
A/N: You get this early. First line is influenced by my favorite spy novel of all time (props if you get it) & this fic is also inspired by Mr. & Mrs. Smith. This will have three parts, it’s much lighter and fluffier in general than DUST and this is just the beginning.
Cassian Andor is a spy, a thief, a liar, a murderer, a man of many faces. Despite all these facts, you’re certain he’s not evil. He’s simply a rebel like you, a veteran intelligence agent with decades of experience. That’s what your commanding officer told you the first time you set your eyes on Cassian in a mess hall. You had just been transferred to some covert Rebellion base situated on a backwater planet in the Albarrio sector; not your top choice, but here you were.
Here he was, too.
“That’s Andor.” The senior officer’s voice dropped to a whisper, partly in fear and partly in awe. “One of our top intelligence agents. He does whatever it takes to get the job done.”
Across several aisles, Cassian had looked up and caught you with your eyes trained right on him. He scowls. He’s pretty, you immediately notice. Delicate features, a delicate frame. If it wasn’t for the scruff on his cheeks, he would look fragile. Or maybe not. Something haunted remains in his eyes, something determined and intense.
