“Hey, c'mon. We're superheroes. What could happen?”
In case you missed, Disney released the official logo for the sequel of Pixar’s The Incredibles last saturday by their official Instagram account. Here’s everything we know about the movie so far:
The movie was first announced at the Disney shareholders meeting in March 2014, with Brad Bird returning as writer.
In April 2015, Bird revealed that he has begun writing the screenplay for the sequel. He also stated that the film will not reflect trends in the superhero genre since the first film’s release, explaining, “I don’t think that kind of idea stays interesting for very long. ... For me, the interesting thing was never the superhero part of it. It was more the family dynamic, and how do superhero things play into that”.
So far, only Samuel L. Jackson is confirmed to reprise his role from the original movie (Frozone).

Brad Bird confirms he's now writing The Incredibles 2
A year ago, Disney CEO Bob Iger told investors that Pixar is working on another The Incredibles film, and now while chatting with NPR, Brad Bird (writer and director of the The Incredibles) confirmed that the sequel was “percolating”, adding: “I’m just staring to write it, so we’ll see what happens”.
Bird’s latest work, Tomorrowland, opens May 22. The sequel of The Incredibles has no release date yet.
