Have you ever sat and just thought about how lucky we are to have disney? It has created so many dreams for people of all ages. Do you ever sit at the parks and watch the kids as they meet there favorite princess, or even if they are going on their favorite ride? The emotion behind their eyes and smile is priceless. If you really sit and think about it, what Walt did was incredible. To this day i’m still astounded and I know I always will be. He created hope, joy, and happiness in millions of peoples lives. I can never say it enough, thank you Walt.
One thing I don’t think Walt Disney get’s enough recognition for is how devoted to his work he was and how much he believed in himself. Snow White was one of the riskiest films ever made, he invested his entire company on it succeeding despite all other fully animated films failing before it. And the first day he opened Disneyland to the press it was a complete disaster and failure, but he learned from the mistakes from that day and the park has been a success ever since.
He also dealt with many family crises, including difficulties having children and losing his mother from an accident in the house he bought for her. Even though he was devastated by them, he never let them stop him from pursuing his dreams. He is a great reminder that even though we don’t have it easy and don’t always succeed at first, we need to always try our best and keep moving toward our goals if we want to reach them someday.
