But that's the point, people *have* been complaining about Red Bull! And now comes the outrage in the Bayern fandom
Now it’s come to their league, I don’t think the timing is a big deal. Esp since I think Bayern fans do have a right to be angry about it for their own sake since it’s affecting them as well, but a lot of the ones I’ve talked to also say they’d rather have bvb win the league than RB. And like I said, a lot of people didn’t know about RB until recently
hello, friendly other bayern fan coming in here
i’d like to say that bayern fans have in fact been protesting and complaining about red bull since they were founded -- since they were founded and did that skeevy trick to start in the oberliga, there have been bayern fans loudly complaining. a large group of us literally held watching parties to cheer on fcn (and if that doesn’t say anything about bayern fans caring and hating them i don’t know what does) last year with the hope that they’d win the 2. liga and keep leipzig from being promoted. sadly that wasn’t the case. like people are asking us about it now because it’s in the spotlight now -- because NOW is the time the sworn bayern-haters are having to decide which one of bayern and rb is actually the “lesser of two evils” when it comes to topping the league. NOW is when people are asking us why we hate them. this isn’t a “oh we hate them because it’s cool and are just jumping on the bandwagon because we’re spoiled fans who can’t handle not being first in a table for a change” this is a “we’ve hated them their entire 7 year history, only now they’re even more in the spotlight than they were before and people are asking us why we hate them because it’s more obvious to more people who aren’t ur-fans of the bundesliga”
people here *have* been complaining about rb for a long time too, the large majority of football fans around on this website didn’t notice or didn’t realize what it was about until recently, hence the flare-up today of discourse about the hate
