Fading Tracks by Michael Via Flickr: This is a bit of a concept edit that I've been sitting on for a while trying to decide if I liked it enough to post, but here it is. I knew I wanted an edit like this, to take an idea I tried with a shot from way back in 08 at the Statue of Liberty dock station a little farther. Taking the color and trying to slowly desaturate it as it moves towards the vanishing point/horizon to create the impression of an abandoned subject fading into the haze of the past, being forgotten. I think I got there, but I'm not entirely confident that its as good as it could be.

Red White and BOOM by Michael Via Flickr: The finale of EPCOT's Heartbeat of Freedom 4th of July tag is simply insane. You can feel the thundering of the explosions, and it is very loud. Definitely a ridiculously amazing fireworks experience.

Floating Waterfalls by Michael Via Flickr: The floating mountains of Pandora are quite a sight at night, and the waterfalls coming off of them to one side make it even more impressive.

Bridge to the Floating Mountains by Michael Via Flickr: Pandora at night is a completely different experience, and this was one of my favorite "wide views" last night in the land. The area comes alive in a new way with the plant life glowing all around and above you.

A Floating Ecosystem by Michael Via Flickr: The outdoor section of the queue for Flight of Passage provides some great views of the floating mountains.

Mountain Fortress Forest by Michael Via Flickr: The queue for Flight of Passage is quite an impressive experience of its own, with many different environments. In this part you pass through a reinforced tunnel into a cave with a small bioluminescent forest.

An Alien World by Michael Via Flickr: Pandora at DAK is overwhelming in its visual presentation, with myriads of details and alien plant life everywhere you look. It really seems other-worldly in an amazing way.

Low on the Tracks by Michael Via Flickr: These abandoned tracks make for some great pictures. This was probably the most wide open section of the tracks for a shot, as just out of view over the horizon of the frame the brush closes in almost completely and the path becomes very tight for the rest of the passable section of the tracks.

Arlington Memorial Ampitheater by Michael Via Flickr: The Arlington Memorial Ampitheater is a beautiful piece of architecture. I didn't expect the scale of this to be quite as big as it was, and the stage area was especially impressive.

RockIt Trails by Michael Via Flickr: Went digging back through my library and found this shot. I guess I wasn't too fond of it when I first looked at it, but I really like it now. RockIt is a really cool visual treat at night, and can be a lot of fun to play with the light trails.

Welcome to Skull Island by Michael Via Flickr: The walls are down, expeditions are starting, and danger awaits past these rocks and skulls. This was done by running my original through Silver Efex Pro2 to try and get that older feel.

An Evening in Fantasy by Michael Via Flickr: This another shot I've had in the back of my mind for a while that I finally tried and it turned out better than I expected. This is a 4 shot merge in LR.

Expedition: Everest in motion by Michael Via Flickr: One day after work I decided that it was too nice out to not go to Animal Kingdom, specifically for this shot. I've always had this in the back of my mind, but never had my tripod during the day here when I wasn't more focused on the Safari or the two trails. This is a fairly simple 2 shot composite, about 3 seconds in total shutter speed length (using a 10 stop ND filter).

Cypress Gardens Buddah by Michael Via Flickr: Back in the Asian gardens section of Cypress Gardens there is this Buddah statue (or at least that's what I think it is, I don't know Eastern religions that well) tucked among some trees on the other side of a waterway from the path. I decided to process this using Nik Silver Efex because I wasn't really liking the color image and thought it might look better in B&W, which it does.
