Polly Gray. That’s it. That’s the post.
Something I can’t tell if I hate or love (I jump between the two at least ten times a day) is how much more afraid Tess is in the show. I mean, before the remaster she doesn’t even point her gun at Ellie when they learn she’s infected.
But in the show? She shouts for Joel. And that’s just. So insane to me. We know they were going to give her a family, a husband and a kid. A kid she doesn’t kill even when he gets infected, but rather locks in the basement… for safe keeping?
When you think about it, everything she does (even the added fear) makes so much sense if you take her family into account. It’s feels as if she has so much more to lose in the show because she does. That hope we see, when she and Joel speaks when Ellie takes a pee break? That’s the spark of maybe I can save my son.
Save who you can save isn’t all about Ellie. I mean, I definitely think Tess wants Ellie to be safe, but more than that I think she wants her son to be safe, to be okay.
And I LOVE that. I love that they fleshed out her character and Anna Torv is just… chef’s kiss. But fuck if I don’t miss the whole “I have nothing to lose” attitude.
Tess drinks in the game when Joel doesn’t. Tess straight up has a drink and Joel’s like “nah”. She doesn’t give a fuck if she has a drink before a run, because she doesn’t give a fuck if she lives or dies.
Joel has to tell her off because she does runs on her own and tells her to “be careful”. She doesn’t actively seek danger out, and I wouldn’t call her actively suicidal in the game, but she doesn’t exactly seem fazed by dangerous situations. Car blows up in front of her? Well, that’s too bad. She gets threatened? Lmao, you’re dead. Robert knows they’re coming? That’s part of the fun. Robert shoots at her? She’s going to shoot him back. Infected attacks Joel? Two quick shots, no ammo wasted.
She swears and she recognizes that situations aren’t ideal, but the only time she seems genuinely upset is when they can’t hand Ellie over to the Fireflies, and even then it’s not because she’s going to die but because she’ll never right the wrongs she did.
That apathy and ruthlessness? That’s a woman who has done everything to survive and does not give a fuck about anything anymore until her very last moments. She might not be able to make things right, but she can ask Joel to. He has to make them right, because it’s always been the two of them.
When she’s bit in the show, it’s “okay, we knew something was going to go to shit. I’m going to spend my last few hours with Joel and I’m going to tell him the second we’ve dropped Ellie off”, but in the game? In the game it’s more “let me fix this and then I’m done”, but when she realizes she can’t fix it… she loses it. And I fucking love it.
“I have nothing to lose” characters are just always so interesting to me because they have nothing holding them back.
That, and obviously I miss the bandana.
want to just pick steven up n keep him in my pocket to keep him safe

Hello. Thank you very much for all your lovely gifs! I was wondering if you could make some of the kiss but in slow motion. Is it possible?
In slow motion?! Are you sure you ready to suffer? ^^"
Loki opened his lips before receiving the kiss, so it proved that he was not surprised. A first tear ran on the side of his cheek near his lips.
A tear slid and was ready to fall from his jaw.
Their lips parted but he kissed her this time, a second time.
She pressed herself a little more against him by that.
His nose caressed her own while their lips parted.
And he kept his eyes closed a moment as to keep the kiss before reopening them again.
you're welcome :P
He wets his bottom lip just before. He knew it was coming.
But damn her expression in that last kills me. The way she slides her hand down his chest. The way she meets his eyes.
I’m sorry.
And I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again (and thanks to Tom for confirming) but Loki will move the stars to find her.
