Zim "As much as I HATE to defend Larb, because I HATE Larb, he doesn't deserve a live-stream execution."

Khao -Lam "People, THIS is the invader that destroyed our planet and nearly drove us to extinction. He cost me my career, my future and my horns. I risked life and limb to capture him. He DIES on THIS ship!"

Floog "That's inaccurate. He infiltrated your planet and left it exposed to the Armada's wrath followed by an onslaught of torture-research by imperial scientists like me--all parties of which serve the tallest and empire. Larb was just a soldier following orders. Nothing he did to you or Vort was personal. You can't blame him alone for the fate of the Vortian race."

Khao -Lam "Don't give me that tripe, drone! You're all to blame, but you Irkens are NOT an automaton hive mind ! You're creatures of flesh, blood and free will like the rest of us! Larb CHOSE to become an invader and exterminate an assigned planet!"

Zim "Since when does the irken empire allow choice?!"

Khao-Lam "Chosing to obey is a choice. We're sending a message! Vort deserves justice!"

Zim "What justice? The tallest won't care if one ex invader dies. Neither will the empire. He'll block the stream or replace Larb with a media double, trust me. Killing him won't restore Vort or bring back any fallen Vortians."

Larb "All of us hate Zim,--"

(Others) "Yup. yup. true. very much."

Zim "Hrrrm!!"

Lard-Nar "--but he's right. Executing Larb solves nothing and makes us no better than our enemies."

Khao-Lam "I can live comfortably with that. There has to be repercussions. Someone HAS to take responsibility for all the death and damage."

777 "Vort wasn't the only planet ravaged by Impeding Doom II. Everyone on this ship lost everything they had because of the Irken empire. This is something the resisty as a whole should really discuss in depth and vote on, not mindlessly rush into."

Khao-lam "Fair enough; we can leave it up to a vote."

(Heavy topic, please excuse. Larb and Zim rarely ever interacted as smeets or during their military training days. Zim always found Larb to be a mediocre butt-kisser. He never liked Larb much and resented his success as a soldier/ invader.

Larb thought of Zim as a walking disaster, who is also quite annoying and made it a point to avoid him. This proved to be a successful survival strategy for a long time. Larb doubled down these efforts after Zim was declared a pariah.

It isn't until Zim's resisty days that either of them cross paths again. They both have a great deal about their pasts, their empire and each other to reevaluate. They eventually learn to have adeeper respect for one another.)

The fate of the invaders and how their conquests impacted them mentally, emotionally and in terms of occupation is an important subject meant to be discussed more. Good question.

The subject matter gets rather serious and sad to forwarn everyone.

It takes much longer than originally anticipated but eventually all planets targeted in IDII, but Meekrob, are conquered by their assigned invaders and the Irken Armada. Tallest Purple launches Impending Doom III shortly after his one century jubilee. Out of the 33 assigned, 20 participated in IDII.

The remaining inactive invaders decline the option of attempting a second conquest and are reencoded to other occupations. All the invaders, especially the taller, most successful ones, are given honorable fame, praise and perks for lightyears. Most of them find it very difficult to enjoy any of this.

Despite their intense elite training, harsh social conditioning and advanced PAK programming, many invaders experience a deep sense of remorse and/ or guilt over the races they conquer and/or drive to extinction while simultaneously feeling shame over the negative/ treacherous thoughts they start to develope towards their empire.

They push down these emotions as far as they can for as long as they can. It's a losing battle.

Larb gradually, unconsciously, becomes very depressed over the particularly brutal genocide of the Vortian race since his successful conquest. He does his best to smile and march forward despite this, but with every news update it gets harder.

The fates of each of the invaders including the ones you listed I have scribbled down in a mess of notes that I should really type out. When I get a chance I should make a fates masterpost.

Invader Larb and what I think his Vortian disguise might have looked like.

Lard Nar "What have you done?"

Khao Lam "You mean besides successfully strip three Irken PAKs of all their defense mechanisms, weaponry and non-life sustaining functions thereby completing the first known manual downgrade to an Irken PAK by Vortian hands?!"

Lard Nar "--"

Khao Lam "I also acquired for us two possible bargaining chips and three live test subjects."

Lard Nar "I never ordered you to take enemy hostages!! This is a delicate operation I'm running, damn you! Too many acts of aggression in a row and the tallest will declare war!"

Khao Lam "I believe WE declared war when the Irkens betrayed our species almost two decades ago. Relax, "captain". These three will not be missed. My pod will reattach in 25 minutes; stand by."

Lard Nar *sighs* "We need to dispose of these three quickly."

Khao Lam "I will gladly take care of that after I-"

Lard Nar "No!! You've done enough. I will take over from here."

Khao Lam "Absolutely not!"

Lard Nar "This order is nonnegotiable."
