There are a couple contenders for the shortest poems ever written (in English, at least). There's this one by Aram Saroyan:
The infamous four legged m, meant to draw your eye to the middle of the alphabet and mimic either the birthing of the n from the m, or an enhanced form of "am," the pregnant Being-ness.
There's also this one by JW Curry,
The fingerprint stylized "i", encapsulating the physical and spiritual branches of individuality.
