Hey, I’m Luke, a trans boy. I had a very disappointing call from my gender clinic today. The waiting list that was a 2 years overall last month, has suddenly jumped up to 39 months. I can’t wait that long.

As a result, I’ve considered going private for hormones. But with trying to move out in the next year too, I’m going to struggle financially. To help fund this at least a little, I’m doing tarot readings through PayPal and etsy!

Oh one thing I forgot to mention in the q slur discourse is that for me at least it really depends on the form of the word

Like when someone’s talking about “queer studies” or “queer culture” or even “queer people”, naming an organization or a show like Queer Eye, or just referring to themself in any way, I tend to barely notice.

But if you tack an “s” onto the end, or it’s the only way you refer to another person? (eg. “Look at that queer over there”) IMMEDIATE fight or flight mode. It feels much more dehumanizing and degrading.
