Does it hurt to try to remember that time where he was alone on a snowy mountain while everyone was in factions? Does it hurt to think about crystals and trading just for the sake of not being completely alone ? I think it does, and i think it’s better to forget.
The additional time about Reo absolutely losing his mind because he can’t seem to be able to talk to Nagi and Chigiri helping him is actually crazy because why does this sound directly out of a fanfiction

This week episode on wild life was so packed with desertduo references and big events in third life and double life this is actually crazy. And the way they both reconcile this episode and are best friends like, and I quote Grian, “just like in Third life”.
I don’t think Scar is the only one back in the desert.
I know we’re focusing on how chaotic this session was but can’t stop thinking about Grian respawning in the Bam bois bed and Scar saying “now the pillow will smell like waffles” LIKE WOW
Sometimes I think about how Joel died in Limited life and I suddenly need to wax poetry about it. Like we moved on a bit too quickly :
The sheer panic in his voice, he is desperately trying to survive and after his failed attempt at a tnt minecart he just goes “Grian it’s not going well—” THE WAY HIS VOICE IS CUT OFF GOD
AND GRIAN. The way Joel’s desperate voice was loud and when he got struck by lightning THE SILENCE. THE ABSOLUTE SILENCE because Grian just saw his last ally die right in front of him. Joel disappears at the highest level on the stairs right in front of the clock tower. Grian just stares at it too stunned. THE WAY THE LIGHTNING IS SO VISIBLE BECAUSE IT WAS NIGHT TOO.
Finally after like seconds that feel like minutes he yells “Joel?” LIKE WOW OKAY.
This little Minecraft block game makes me insane, I’ve been watching this series since Double Life came out and I feel like this moment in Limited Life is so raw I love it sm probably my fav moment in the series.
Cannot get over the fact that Martyn in 3rd Life said that Grian has a BAD CASE OF STOCKHOLM SYNDROME
Stockholm syndrome is just Desertduo in a nutshell I’ve never heard such a perfect way to describe them
So I’m rewatching 3rd Life but this time Martyn’s POV and it’s KILLING ME how Desertduo in their own POV are like just some dudes wrecking a bit of chaos but in Martyn’s POV they look like some kind of evil codependent couple that are weird and live in far away lands that no one should enter.
And honestly I feel like Martyn’s POV is closer to the truth than Grian and Scar’s own POV
Thinking about the dsmp as a stage play is kind of the most mentally damaging thing on the earth to me
Like there’s just so much you could do with that. The characters calling the audience chat while delivering soliloquies, the costumes the staging. Like you could have Phil rise up out of the audience to stop Wilbur from blowing it all up. You could have Dream moving spotlights around and making you look where he wants. It makes me sick.

Ok let's get into it! I'll be adding to this post whenever I post anything new for the AU! I'm going to try to organize everything so that it's in chronological order of the story! There are a few arcs I've got planned too so I'll try to make everything as clear as possible haha
(also I do my best but sometimes I confuse myself with exact ages of the characters and exactly like. what time of year things would take place, but think of it like any CN show we grew up with - time is seemingly an illusion if I don't think about it too much...)

Genuinely I don't think Pearl held back against Scar at all based on two things. 1. Scar said outright he wanted a real victory and a free win would be lame so Pearl respected that and fought him as well as she could. 2. Based on Pearl's pov she looked like she was genuinely trying, even if she didn't want to win. She took every opportunity to hit him when she could, but scar was really good at kiting her with his punch bow and getting creative spawning mobs and placing tnt to make some distance and keep shooting her. Pearl is great at pvp but she believed in Scar enough to believe that he could defeat her legitimately and he did.
in universe I don't know how long Scar survived after he pressed the complete task button but out of universe I'm pretty sure he died before he even pressed it
cause you cannot convenience me that zombie in the ravine didn't kill him while he was too busy being stunned he won the game to do anything. He had his back turned to it with one and a half heart left and a second later it cut to him with half a heart climbing out of the ravine. I'm sorry but that just says 'got a cheeky little rez for narrative purposes' to me. Which is totally fine, we know they've done that in the past, a little bit of out of universe tweaking doesn't ruin the improv or the immersion imo
however. anyone want to play around with the idea of the watchers - not satisfied with the show they got - forcing Scar back to life to keep playing their game?
I think Scar was always meant to win. He was so, so close to third life. It was up to pure skill that Grian landed more crits. So, in Last Life The Watchers took Grian away from the equation. He still lost.
Double Life. The Watchers realised he was stronger with allies, stronger with Grian at least. Alas, they couldn't force Grian to play his own game. And Scar died alone in the woods.
Limited Life. He had a family. The Waters decided to keep Grian at arms length, Scar's cousin. Scar's cousin who eventually killed him.
Secret Life. The Watchers were finally in the game. Even if it was just through a statue. Make Scar alone. Make him friendless. It wasn't a coincidence Grian wanted Scar to be allies on the fucking session Scar had to do the opposite of everything someone told him. They pushed him to his limits. Not only lonley and friendless, but hated, too.
Scar was always meant to win. It just took a while for The Watchers to figure out how
scar’s finale was a constant and ever growing “oH MY GODDD” I was containing so much screaming when I was watching it at the ungodly hours of the night.
I NEEDED to draw the final parts of it so badly. the brain has worms on his descent into unhinged villainy.
