Study Soundtrack
Hey guys! I started coming across various posts with music suggestions for those of us who need can listen to music while we study. I thought that since I'm about to reach 500 followers, I'd do a little musical compilation of my own for all of you as a thank you.
My music app of choice is Spotify. I pay for Premium because I just honestly believe it is a life necessity and I always make budget for it (tip: you can get it for 4.99 a month with your student email). However, since I know not everyone has access to it, I decided to go through a little bit of extra trouble and type in the song titles + artists, because, well, it's vacation and I appreciate the work. So without further ado, my study music choices!
For those of you who use Spotify, these are my favorite "already there" playlists:
- Soundtrack for Study by Filtr Canada: scores from different popular movies and TV shows to keep you animated. It's completely instrumental (I'm pretty sure) for those of you who can't be hearing words.
- Brain Food by Spotify: for late night studies. Trust me.
- Intense Studying by Spotify: for those moments when you just need some backdrop Classical because you can't stand the silence.
These are songs from my personal studying playlist (Background Music by Gabriela Ramirez in case anyone wants to go looking – it's basically a mixture of all those I mentioned up there with a little extra). The Key is (C) for Classical, (E) for Electronic/Chill/you know what I mean, (I) for Indie-ish.
- Intro – The xx (E/I)
- Bitter Sweet Symphony - 2004 Digital Remaster – The Verve (E)
- Fleur Blanche – Orsten (E + C)
- You & Me - Flume Remix – Disclosure, Eliza Doolittle (E)
- Figure It Out – Royal Blood
- High You Are - Branchez Remix – What So Not (E)
- Let's Get Started – Dylan Gardner (I)
- Fade Out Lines - The Avener Rework – The Avener & Phoebe Killdeer (I)
- Drinkee – Sofi Tukker (E)
- Days With You - Sweater Beats Remix – Snakehips, Sinead Harnett (E)
- 300 Violin Orchestra – Jorge Quintero (C *this one's awesome!)
- First – Cold War Kids (I)
- New York City - Dash Berlin Remix – The Chainsmokers, Dash Berlin (E)
- Light of the Seven – Ramin Djawadi (C)
- Good Morning – Grouplove (I)
- Rollercoaster – Bleachers (I)
- The Girl (feat. Cozi Zuehlsdorff) – Hellberg, Cozi Zuehlsdorff (E)
- Grounds for Divorce – Elbow (I-ish? Recent find)
This is just a taste of what's in my playlist (it's quite versatile), and what I have for you for now! If you guys like this idea let me know, I totally enjoyed putting this list together and would not mind doing it again. In fact, it'll encourage me to find more music for studying, and we all know how necessary that is.
