Scientific American, February 2012
This is... actually kind of terrifying. To be fair, the article was a lot of pseudoscience babble about gene therapy and cloning - it really sounded like something out of a Philip K. Dick novel - but the idea that anyone could up and make their own superhero (villain?!) is kind of creepy.

Time Magazine - April 11,2016
With instances of vigilante justice, tensions between the Avengers team, and reports of inhuman feats on the rise, Time asks the obvious (and takes advantage of those scale figurines everyone seems to have these days).

US Weekly - Unknown date
It’s all about style choices. Everything’s fine when you’re a dude, but if you’re Black Widow then obviously you must be going grey because why else would anyone dye their hair?

This is a direct parody of this hilarious(ly awful) segment from US Weekly (seriously click it there’s some glory moments like ‘they mail back Neflix’ and ‘they carry their cords’)

National Enquirer UK Edition, April 20, 2015
Hawkeye flies commercial and grabs something humorous from the newsagents to keep him occupied in the airport lounge. Meanwhile, Cap’s umbrella holder shoots an exposé interview with E!
According to sources, Falcon was spotted doubled over in front of a New York newsstand. Early reports suggest our favorite winged hero was merely suffering a minor bout of hyperventilation, but we’ll keep you posted.

Billboards of upcoming films based on the events of both the Battle of New York, and Captain America's time during WWII.
While Cap was spotted looking embarrassed as he walked past a poster for Michael Bay's The Tower, Tony Stark was taking a gleeful selfie next to a billboard. It's smart vs silly, which of these films will the public put its money behind?
These are dedicated to the anon who suggested billboards. I was half way through these, and you inspired me to finish them!

HBO is known for taking risks with its programming, but today’s news could set a new benchmark for cable television.
With seven months still to go until the release of the highly anticipated Zero Sum Game, the network has agreed to go ahead with a World War Two drama Howling Commandos - a series loosely based on the exploits of Captain America and his group of special ops soldiers - after the overwhelming fan interest for the first trailer of the David Fincher helmed film, crashed the TimeWarner Website.
Rumors of the project have been swirling since March, when Jensen Ackles (who plays the star spangled man in the film) hinted at the possible cancellation of long running WB show Supernatural. While the show has been renewed for a tenth season, that hasn’t stopped the limited run Commandos from being shoehorned into his schedule.
When asked about the possibility of other Game stars appearing in the miniseries, HBO representatives confirmed that Commandos will be set firmly in the mid-century. A diverse cast has been assembled to play Cap’s team, with Boris Kodjoe, Eva Green, and Sung Kang all attached to the project.
As for Zero Sum Game, the second trailer is rumored to be close to completion, and producers seem determined to generate as much interest in the political thriller before its November premiere. With Michael Bay’s action blockbuster The Tower being released within days of Game, we’re sure the debate over which is better will keep these films trending in the coming months, and for long after their initial release. For more information on Zero Sum Game, and The Tower you can get all the latest news here.

A response to those incensed by my latest post
Recently, I created an Economist cover for this blog, which featured a prominent image of the top of Captain America's head, with the HYDRA emblem in place of the 'A'.
There has been a bit of backlash about this, mostly in regards to the insinuation that Steve Rogers could be, or is HYDRA. This is not what I am saying with this image. In fact, those who have inferred this concept, couldn't be further from the truth.
How many times have you seen magazines, whether they be lowbrow tabloids, or respected journals, feature a shocking image on the cover to sell issues? How many times have you seen radical hyperbole used to convey a message of fear? How many times have you seen journalists use shock tactics, or speculation to create a name for themselves?
What we see in the MCU, is what is 'really' happening. What would those who live in it see? They would see an intelligence agency falling on its own sword. They would see the name of a man, once hailed as a patriot, being sullied by the enemy in his own ranks. How would the media respond to those touted as superheroes, working for an agency that turned out to be rotten all along.
This is the message behind MediAvengers. We see the 'real' people in this universe, but those who would be commenting on the events wouldn't see what's going on behind closed doors.
Consider this: If you were a bystander in the universe where our heroes exist, would you immediately believe that Captain America could only possibly be good, or would you consider the idea that he may have known who he was working for all along?
MediAvengers round up: The Economist reacts to superheroes, and asks the serious questions like what the f*** is going on?
