Okay I've done more Experimenting with the printer now that I've printed actual full size prints with it, and alas I must conclude the more expensive satin paper IS objectively way better u_u
The matte is fine for smaller/lighter coloured prints but it does NOT like anything dark with a lot of gradients, it comes out super blotchy. This is tbf largely a me problem as I do tend to have way more gradient/filter layers than necessary, but the satin paper also has no issue so we're gonna use that for prints going forward (at least until I find a cheaper one that doesn't do this)
it's kind of hard to see on camera but here's a comparison, satin on left, matte on right, if you look closely you can see the blotchy effect and flecks on the matte, plus some track marks/lines
in other news I may have a bunch of b grade link prints for my next shop update lol
Also in the process of trying to get it to print I did alter the link print a fair bit so that it'd print better, and also just fixed a few mistakes I'd noticed, and that one's now on inprnt. I'm too lazy/can't update my socials with the new version tho so if you're wondering why the printed ones are way lighter that's why. idk how inprnt handles darker colours but I figured lightening it couldn't hurt (old left, new right)
