Participation will be counted like “tickets;” the more you contribute, the better chance you’ll have of winning! All participation tickets will have a chance to win the free zine raffle, while creative entries will also count as entries for the exclusive merch.

a) Standard entries can only be performed once aka you can’t get multiple chances for this.

b) Creative entries can be performed multiple times so long as concepts are unique (aka you cannot repeat your own ideas).

FAQ

When will this contest end? It will end July8, a week before our scheduled P.O. date, July15! 

I want to participate for the exclusive merch, but I’m not interested in my work being in the zine. Is that an issue? Not at all! You won’t have to worry about it unless you’re selected as one of the top five participants; at that point, we’ll ask your permission to highlight your work in the zine. If you’d rather not, you’re more than welcome to decline! You’ll still receive the exclusive merch as promised.

Will shipping be covered? Yes! We’ll ship anywhere for free.

What might prevent my work from being able to appear in the zine? Some assets–such as clips from the anime, manga caps, or resources you find online–may and likely do have some sort of licensing on them. If you plan to directly use any materials from sources like these, we won’t be able to include your winning entry in the zine for legal purposes. An alternative may be considered in this event.

*Exclusive merch will only be given out with any purchase of the physical zine/zine bundles (you’ll get a code for your checkout basket).

Don’t just accept the new Terms of Service

Tumblr’s at it again, thanks to the new European Privacy Laws. There’s probably nobody who will read this, but it pissed me off so much that I decided to make a post about it. (Ignore the weird language mish-mash, depending on your country the language might differ.)

OK, so many of us get this screen when we try to access our dash:

Realise how the ‘OK’ button is a nice, attention-grabbing blue? If you’re like me, you’re not exactly into reading a 100 pages document and tend to just click it.

My tip? DONT. Instead click on ‘Manage Options’ right next to it:

Now you’ll see this page:

Still pretty harmless, right? That ‘Accept’ button is looking really attractive right now. Instead, click on Verwalten (Probably something like ‘Manage Options’ or something in english) and you’ll get to this page:

Now that’s not too bad, right? I just switched all the buttons to ‘off’, because I’m jealously guarding my personal information and don’t want Tumblr to go off and do who knows what with it. Looks like we’re done! But wait: There’s a SHOW option.

When we click on that one, what we will get is this:

A HUGE list with OVER 300 ENTRIES of companies that can use your data by default if you’d just clicked ‘OK’ on that very first page. Coincidence that this list is hidden that much? Me thinks not. They’re all switched on by default, but I am still a petty bitch that doesn’t want to give out her data, so I switched them all off. All 300+ of them. There is no option to switch them all off at once, and even if you disable all the options above, the companies are still switched on.

(If you wonder how i got that number, I copied the list into excel and looked at the cell number. No way am I actually counting all those entries)

my partner wrote me a handy bit of script that disables all of them at once (it doesn’t work if you already started unticking them, so in that case you’ll need to refresh the page)

open the Toggle Tools in your browser (Ctrl+Shift+I should work)

and in the field with the little blue double arrow thingy, paste:

press enter, done! :>

I’m half dead because I’ve been literally drawing these for the whole day but oH WELL it was worth it;)
