AND that jkr defended the choice to make the woman Asian without addressing any of the concerns actual Asian women have about the symbolism that yields. jkr likes to be fake woke and retcon more diversity into her books, but force it in somewhere that just shows how little she actually cares about representing characters in a decent way.
