Met McQueen the other day at the mall (for the release of the movie today). He was huge! xD and there’s also a piston cup made out of diecast McQueen, Cruz and Storm, and my friend showed me this shirt he found with the Cars storyboard and I’m just like … bruhhhh O_O

Okay so I finally got around to watching this and....

....HOLY MOLY THIS THING IS CINEMATIC!

NO REALLY IT'S SOLID! It felt like I was watching a mini Cars 4 or something, even though it's only 8 mins long and is, you know, Legos but....holy cow I got absorbed in this. And the lesson on how it's better to fail than not do something really stuck with me (an almost 25 year old adult woman afraid of trying everything, lol).

Go watch it!

I'm sorry but no Pixar movie will ever live up to the best one. a hot shot entirely arrogant and egotistical yet ultimately lonely young guy lands up in the middle of a small town before a big race, and having destroyed it's road by accident is now forced to rebuild it? slaps. he meets a beautiful woman who won't take any of his bullshit? wonderful. he realises the old grandpa is a washed up hero that people turned their back on after he came back from an injury, now residing amongst people who love and care for him and he thinks the guy will ruin the town he lives in? dear god I am in love. the young-un meets someone of a sort he once looked down on and they have fun together, and he finally finds a best friend? I will cry. the hotshot falls in love with the town, the town that has long since left the public eye, and the grandpa shows him how self-centred he's been his entire life? please I'm crumbling. the rockstar helps everyone in town, makes them all feel loved and heard and finally feels at home before the paparazzi find him and drag him to his competition, the door closing on his found family just as he's connected with them, all apparently because the grandpa gave them a call? I'm furious! him losing focus at the competition only to hear the grandpa in his headset and go “yeah yeah it's just - wait WHAT” and find that they all came to watch and the grandpa is his coach now all because the best friend didn't get to say goodbye? god I'm squealing with joy! the old dude in his last race ends up in an accident and this boy stops in his tracks, remembers how his coach was disgraced the same way and helps push him to the finish line? I am sobbing. “there's more to racing than just winning” same line as the start, but where earlier it was to impress the camera, this time it's from the bottom of the heart. banging my fists on the table “you got a lot of stuff kid” the grandpa says to the boy, pride, forgiveness and acceptance mingle as I begin to wail. the new racing headquarters will be built in the town, it's back on the map. I am hopping up and down out of sheer jubilation. oh and they're all cars btw. what more do you want?

@bisexualmcqueen After the events of Cars 2 there is an International Race Invitational in Radiator Springs and Chick tries to sabotage the race by stealing Fillmore's fuel supply. Not sure that was the only thing he did, I'm probably gonna have to rewatch the cutscenes again.

Unpopular Opinion

You know what I hate?

A lot of people love Pixar.

Yet a lot of Pixar fans hate Cars.

Despite that, Cars still has its fans.

But even so, a lot of Cars fans hate Cars 2.

Whenever I watch a YouTube video, discussing the Cars movies, I feel like a lot of people in the comments write things like, “Cars 2 was s**t!” and Cars 3 barely references it because “even Pixar knows they f**ked up with Cars 2″ and I can’t help but think, “Was I the ONLY one who liked it?” I’ll admit, I know it wasn’t exactly the sequel people would have expected, but despite that, I still enjoy it and accept it as canon, NOT ONE OF MATER’S TALL TALES!

Please like/reblog if you liked Cars 2. I hope I’m not the only one out there.

BWAAH. ; A ; I am 100% behind the idea that Doc said those words and Lightning made that promise to him.

Simply because this stuff is canon.

The boy went from being embarrassed by rusty old cars in his sponsor’s tent to decorating his seven-time champion’s trailer to the nines in oldies Route 66 simplicity and dressing up in public as a buck-toothed T-bird good ol’ boy for his town.

Lightning’s image and “dignity” have become insignificant - nay, dematerialized if need be - when it comes to representing and helping along his dear Radiator Springs. He’s been seen over and over again just being so eager to share how special it’s been to him, to Sally, to Doc, everybody. The joy is in the journey, not the destination, and that surely isn’t going to be forgotten as long as his motor’s still purring. He loves his town and everyone in it that much. <33
