Why wasn’t there an episode dealing with Rapunzel and Eugene’s Engagement? I would think as a princess who recently returned the king would have had offers of marriage for her? I wondered how the queen would of reacted to it since she seems to not mind Eugene.
There was one that Ricky Roxburgh wrote, but they ultimately decided not to use it. And you know what? I'm actually glad. I didn't want that kind of drama in the show (especially because the episode ultimately kinda made Eugene look bad).
Anyway, it was called "Deranged Marriage," and you can read the premise (provided by Ricky) here.
As for the engagement at the end of the series, neither Frederic nor Arianna had a problem with Eugene at that point, so there wasn't really any point to give us any more than we got. It was the perfect way to end the series.
I will never understand WHY they made Eugene look bad in that episode- if anything it just seemed like an accident caused by miscommunication- neither were wrong or bad for their actions or reactions like???
