so this is my big, fucked up love letter to far cry 5 and the game ending that made me scream when i first played it. enjoy. :,)

heavily inspired by that one panel where greg was asked “what made your character forgive the deputy?” the missed storytelling opportunities with the judge, and “if you have ghosts” on ao3. no i am not okay :)

Jacob running a militaristic brainwashing machine after being chewed up and spit out by the military industrial complex, Joseph sacrificing all his relationships and humanity to a version of god which was violently forced on him from birth, John lamenting his time spent as a materialistic lawyer after building himself an opulent ranch, Faith touting the Bliss as an escape from suffering after being hollowed out by drug addiction. Bit of a Seed family tradition to not even realize you’ve just ended up crawling home to the thing that destroyed you in the first place innit.
