According to the magazine, Carey’s continuous success in the charts and as an award-winning artist mean she gets the title ahead of all other recording artists. The Ranking was chosen based on the biggest hits on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. Mariah has the #1 and #2 longest running number 1 charting singles with “One Sweet Day” ft Boyz II Men and her 2005 smash hit, “We Belong Together”. Not to mention, Mariah having the most #1 hits, 18, on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. Congratulations Mariah!
