Ghosts' “The Work Retreat” should’ve been called “Trevor’s Legacy” because the episode gorgeously honors our favorite pantless finance bro in the way he deserves. It’s clever, hilarious, and unsurprisingly heartfelt, making it what might be the best episode of Season 4 so far.

With a clever narrative to balance two different storylines and then bring them together to showcase the episode’s thematic focus on acts of service, Ghosts Season 4, Episode 4, “The Work Retreat” nails every arc it presents. The writers finally give us a great team-up with Hetty and Sass as they spread a rumor about Pete because they’re tired of him bragging about his travels. We also learn that Trevor has a job he now has to quit because he can’t physically attend the work retreat, but to save the day, Jay pretends to be him, and it turns into a wholesome love letter to the character’s legacy.

Ghosts' fourth annual Halloween episode is another hilarious success that leaves viewers with a bombshell that could either be harmless or totally bonkers. Since Patience debuted her bloody powers last week while Sam’s dad visited, Jay cancels their Halloween celebrations to ensure everything goes smoothly with the Puritan ghost.

However, what Jay doesn’t anticipate is the fact that Patience decides Sam is a witch and she should be tried as one. And because the remaining ghosts are both bored and upset that Halloween is canceled, they agree to Patience’s trial until they realize their verdict turned Sam into stone. (Or so they think.)

Type: Romantic Show: CBS’ Ghosts Featured Characters: Hetty Woodstone and Trevor Lefkowitz

CBS’s Ghosts provides wrenches and surprises in a way few shows manage nowadays, stirring viewers to ponder how each little development works so intrinsically. One of the best parts of the show is its means of establishing romantic relationships, whether achingly slow, slow burns, quick trysts, or committed unions bound to last. And of these relationships, none is more pleasantly shocking than Hetty Woodstone and Trevor Lefkowitz‘s brief dalliance which should be something that prevails.

While going public within the manor did more damage than good for their relationship, further development in their clandestine (or out in the open) ways could prove they’re better together than they are apart. The writers have said they have no plans to move forward with them yet, but maybe someday, we could get something more. They’re a perfect dose of opposites attract, bound by invisible strings, in the most unconventional form.

Written by Talia Bernstein and directed by Pete Chatmon, Ghosts Season 3, Episode 3, “He Sees Dead People,” reunites viewers with Eric (Andrew Leeds) and Bela (Punam Patel) while simultaneously presenting challenges in Isaac and Nigel’s impending nuptials.

Further, one of the most impressive details in the show’s lore is how it continues to evolve Hetty’s character while she begrudgingly helps others. (And ultimately, why it’s a good thing that no matter how much she grows as a character, she’s still around because I would not want to see her get sucked off until the very end.) That said, the episode’s emotional beats continue to rely on Hetty’s past to ensure that characters in the present don’t make the same mistakes, and it all occurs rather hilariously throughout.
