Confession #2302

"It's not that I don't think he deserves a spot there or it's unnatural for him to be there but....I just really hate Spider-Man in team-ups or on teams generally. He can work in teams but works better alone and more often than not he's oversimplified as 'the funny one' when he's on teams and not showcased as the actually formidable opponent he can be. Plus when i read Spider-Man I want to see HIS life and his supporting cast and villains, not just him and some other heroes I don't care about"

Confession #2301

"I do not care if it makes everything from Amazing Spider-Man #698 onwards a waste of time, I want Doctor Octopus to go back to being a fat man with a bad hair cut who doesn't have cancer and remembers nothing of being the Superior Spider-Man because frankly that whole storyline needs too many contrivances to work and has done nothing for Otto but make him a complete tool and a cartoon of his older self."

Confession #2287

"I know a lot of people like Gwen Stacy, or Tim Sale, or Jeph Loeb and by extension love Spider-Man: Blue. It's a really good story with a lot of emotion, nostalgia and great art and dialogue. But seriously people need to STOP treating it as canon. It is 100% NOT canon because it seriously contradicts a lot of stuff from the Lee/Romita era. You can love it all you want, but it's ultimately just a great alternate universe story. You want to talk canon you go by the ORIGINAL issues. End of story."

Confession #2282

" I hate how they killed off Peter Parker in Superior Spider-Man. It was one thing for him to die in the arms of his loved ones in Ultimate Spiderman, but to have Doc Ock switch minds with him without his loved ones knowing that he's dead? That's just cruel. I don't know how Superior Spiderman is going to play out, but I hope MJ, Aunt May, and the others will find out the truth because they have the right to know he's dead and get a chance to grieve properly."

Confession #2251

"Dan Slott is possibly the worst/most overrated Spider-Man writer in recent memory. He had one lucky fluke with Spidey/Torch but he mischaracterises everyone, writes in an outdated style, with concepts derived from the early 80s at MOST and a dismissive attitude to much of what came afterwards. Yet he's hailed as the best writer since Stern, which is insulting to guys like DeFalco, Michellinie and DeMatteis. THEY never wrote an issue where Spidey masturbates for us"

Confession #2236

"I'll confess this. I love the Superior Spider-Man over the Amazing Spider-Man and I'm hoping that Marvel keeps Superior for a while. When I read the bits before Superior and then the series, I was hooked into the series. I loved how Otto is more tactical and smarter and that he simply dumps that dumbass Mary Jane. Even if Parker comes back, I just want Superior to stay along for the ride."

Confession #2226

"I used to be a victim of sibling abuse. My older sister would take her anger out on me because my father took his anger out on her. I grew up with the fear that my sister truly hated me, even if I loved her. After my family got away from my father, my sister realized what she did was wrong and our relationship is much better. When I read the Superior team-up with Kaine, I saw Kaine experiencing my fears and hated Otto even more. I hate seeing someone go through what I did. BRING BACK PETER"

Confession #2185

"I have been greatly upset and ashamed by the amount of racism and opposition that Miles Morales ultimate spider-man has encountered. I am a white male comic book fan, and I have been absolutely thrilled by Mile’s story and absolutely love his comics. Diversity in our hero’s and stories is a step towards a better world"

Confession #2172

"Norman Osborn the original Green Goblin is THE Spider-Man villain, not Venom, not Doc Ock. He might not be as much of a dark reflection of Spider-Man as Doc Ock is but since when does that alone qualify you as being the best/biggest bad guy for a super hero. Lex Luthor and the Joker are opposites of Superman and Batman not guys who are the same but went down a different path like Doc Ock. Stop bitching about his return because frankly he's been better since he came back than he ever was before"

Confession #2163

"'Spider-man and Black Cat' - The Evil that Men Do is quite possibly one of the best, and most supportive comics I have ever read. For those who do not know, this story highlights a very hard issue to tackle - sexual abuse. And at parts, it can be triggering - but I'd seriously suggest it, because the message it gives is practically amazing and it's really helped me cope with my issues."
