I’m gonna miss my uni in the holidays … We will see each other again, in a new year with new possibilities✨🌙 I already crave your comfort, your silence, your everlasting knowledge.
Exam, life, December …
I’ve been busy again, sorry! Just finished my exam in general linguistics and I felt that it went well! I started writing a little novel as well, when I feel the need to sit back, relax and daydream✨ It’a coming of age fantasy store that I hope will inspire a lot of young people!
Gosh I love December! The snow falls outside my window, gentle and playful and covers the land in white.✨🎄☕️
Today I’ll be working on my literature and Norse language exam! And this week I have a lot of doctor’s appointments … wish me luck in everything🫶🏻
My personal collection of cozy winter novels to get you in the mood for the holidays!
A trip to the capital.
Good book, cold weather and excellent coffee, this trip was a very cozy one! We stayed at an old hotel from 1900s which at the time was used as a jazz cafe where musicians, authors and creators alike met to enjoy a nice atmosphere.
It was a nice trip, and now I am back again to focus on my upcoming exam in linguistics… it feels wierd; to have traveled for a weekend, experience new things and then to come back to the same old routines again. Back to school. Back to stuDYING.
Do you ever wake up just to breathe in the morning like “yeah, it’s a cinnamon latte, cafe jazz, fuzzy socks, blankets and a cozy book kind of morning”?!
being on tumblr is just cozy... you know what i mean? instagram and twitter is all flashy and loud but tumblr is as cozy as my bedroom with scented candles on a cold November night
October 31st
🎃👻🍂
Halloween, or Samhain… A surprisingly warm but grey autumn day. I walked around in pain today: like electric shock running through my body, a grunt, a snarl, through gritted teeth. Jaw clenched. People staring.
When I tell you about the reason for my limp, my pain, my snarl, you will go “Oh, but it’s just a …” - the suck up mentality. I broke my toe. It’s okay, you can laugh. I laughed a great deal about it myself: Fumbling in the dark I managed to bang my toe into the corner of a chest by the end of my bed. It hurt. My toe is blue. Like the twilight fading into dusk.
I am currently reading To The River by Olivia Laign. She is a remarkable word smith. The way she can describe the nature in the beautiful, poetic way that it is. I’ll post some quotes eventually.
Did you do anything this Halloween? Qotd: Staying inside or being outside?
October 29th.
A mighty fine, warm autumn day with dramatic clouds that reminded me of a collection I once spotted at the museum
🍂🌞🍁
Qotd:
A quiet day in the library or the museum?📚🏛
It’s the museum for me🙋🏻♀️ To just wander in silence looking at art, maybe read a book, still?
I´ve been a lot on the go lately, a journey of self discovery and found myself once again in love with literature. How could I have been away for so long? I can almost not remember the last time I read properly, to let myself vanish from the world around me into a fictional one.
My life is in constant change- I no longer work, and I find an incredible urge to go back to studying. Maybe this time I’ll choose for myself and study literature instead of law. Only time will show.
I have started to write too! I feel pretty confident now and will try to participate in this year’s @nanowrimo
Feel free to contact me if you want to be moots.
Since I’ve been gone for a while, I’ll add a little introduction of myself below👇
- I go by Vila, my nom-de-plume if you’d like
- I love coffee, preferably sweet and always with oat milk
- I write stories that’s often dark themed and focus more on the inner self and the environment than following the lines of a plot
- I read books- poetry, historical fiction, classics. I love to sound or act a little sophisticated, but in reality I am just a silly homebody with a love for literature.
- My favourite books; The Secret History by Donna Tartt, Northeren Lights by Phillip Pullman, and more to come. I used to only read fantasy, but my taste in literature has changed rapidly over the years.
