Imagine this but with Midlink
Not gonna lie, but in my headcanon when Midna reunited with Link (I'd like to think she made a portal or something to see him again) Link was kinda angry with her. Like, it's not like he wanted to be mad with her but he couldn't help be upset over the fact she didn't tell him that she was going to leave and why. But, Midna would do what she can to put Link at ease.

Midna actually can't stand seeing Link sad. Like, the moment he starts tearing up she'd like, "No, no, no, please don't cry!"
Did I ever mention Midna likes to rest her arm on Link's head cuz she's so tall?
Link and Midna are sleeping but are waken up by the sounds of the Twili kargaroks outside. They try to ignore it but they keep getting louder, so Link walks out of bed, grabs his bow, then heads to the balcony and after a few minutes the noise stops and Link heads back to bed with his wife.

Sometimes, when Link isn't expecting it, Midna likes to sneak up on him and...
Hug him!
The first time Midna did it, he immediately assumed he was being attacked and almost cleaved her with his sword. Once he had calmed down, he hugged her back. From then on, Link accepted all her surprise hugs without getting as startled.
One day, an enemy tried to surprise tackle him from behind and he just laughed and tried to reach back to rustle Midna’s hair and then his hand got bitten by a bokoblin like wtf?
When Midna shatters the mirror, Link is still dealing with the denial. He eyes the shadows, hoping that she would jump out to hug him once more. But she never does.
