70’s ATTIRE AND THE C&NW by Roger Bee Via Flickr: "Long gone is my long dark hair, 35mm chrome filled camera and the three covered wagons crossing the Milwaukee Roads Albert Lea diamond on the old Minneapolis and St. Louis, as this south bound CNW train gets ready to roll on the Rock Island and fly down to Mason City, Iowa. The Burlington advertised its Zephyr Streamliners on its forty foot grain filled box cars, but those trains were long gone by the time of the November 1975 image. Thankfully my father had the foresight after photographing this Chicago and Northwestern train approach to turn his camera around and snap this wonderful going away shot 45 years ago. However, the bright clothing Jim and I wore did help to brighten this dreary scene so typical in Minnesota at that time of the year."
